Janet - sunshine wishes

Created by Janet Shinn.

You Are My Sunshine Card

Janet Shinn designed this card for our July shoebox swap and its cheerful look is sure to brighten the recipient's day!

Background Basics—Janet's card starts with a 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" piece of Whisper White, stamped all over with the flower image from the Sunshine Sayings stamp set in Crushed Curry ink.  It's then matted onto a 3-3/8" x 4-5/8" Basic Black layer, and on a 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" piece of Crushed Curry.  All layers are adhered to a Pumpkin Pie card base.

Sweet Sentiment—The "You Are My" phrase is from the Sunshine Sayings set, as well, and is stamped in Pumpkin Pie ink onto Whisper White scrap paper.  Do you recognize the punched shape?  It's from the Bow Builder Punch!  Janet punched it out, then trimmed off the sides for a shortened label shape.  She also punched a second bow from Pumpkin Pie card stock, cut it in half horizontally and repositioned the halves to frame the top and bottom of the label.  Too Cool!  The greeting element is popped up with Dimensionals.

Sunshine Die-Cuts—The card is finished by die-cutting the pretty Pumpkin Pie flower shape, as well as the Basic Black "sunshine" word, with the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits dies.  They are adhered to the card front with the help of the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.

Bundle It & Save!—Don't forget, you can save 10% when you purchase the Sunshine Sayings stamp set and Sunshine Wishes Thinlits together in the Bundle!

Sunshine Wishes Scenic Love You Card

Whoa!  Talk about a pretty & super-easy card to create!  Kathe Madsen shared a really fast card using the gorgeous Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper!  Have you seen the scenes & patterns on these papers?

Serene scenery 141642G

Serene Scenery is a 6×6" paper stack with 4 each of 12 double-sided designs.  On one side of each sheet, you discover an artistic photo-like print of a realistic scene.  On the other side, there is a graphic pattern that coordinates with the scene.  It's a super-cool concept opening up lots of possibilities for backgrounds.

The scenes are so pretty, that you can use the whole sheet for an awesome backdrop on a card with minimal stamping!

Background Basics—Kathe's card starts with a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Serene Scenery DSP matted onto a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic Black.  Both layers are mounted onto a Delightful Dijon card base.

Sunshine Wishes & Sentiment—Next, Kathe die-cut the Basic Black flower and word using the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits and adhered them to the card front with a Fine-Tip Glue Pen.  Add the rest of the greeting with the coordinating Sunshine Sayings stamp in Memento Black and this card is ready to go!  Simple & sweet and done in minutes!
