When new stampers want me to help them pick out the best stamp set to get them started, I recommend a versatile, all-occasion set like Easy Events.
You get a whole lot of bang for your buck with this set! And, although it's an excellent choice for beginners, it's still a terrific value for stampers at any level!
Not only can you stamp the 8 cute line images in different colors, they can also be colored with Markers or Watercolor Pencils, or Watercolor Crayons. The 8 sentiments cover all the basic greetings you need for just about any occasion. You could even cut the words and images apart to better mix and match them (or use markers on the rubber to only color the parts you want to stamp).
In addition, the size of these images work well for as a focal point on standard cards, notecards, tags and much more! And, creating that focal point is fast and, well, easy, just like the name says!
I created these Two Cool Easy Events cards in just a few minutes!
- Wrap Wild Wasabi Striped Grosgrain around card front, tie and trim.
- Stamp Easy Events image in StazOn Black Ink on Naturals White card stock.
- Color the image with using a Blender Pen and Wild Wasabi, Melon Mambo and Early Espresso Classic Inks (squeeze the ink pad together before opening to get ink on the lid to use as your palette).
- Use 2-Way Glue Pen to add Dazzling Diamonds to image.
- Punch out image with 2-1/2" Circle Punch.
- Nip corners of 3×3" Wild Wasabi piece with 1" Circle Punch.
- For the heart, punch a 4-petal flower from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack, then trim off 2 petals.
- Assemble focal piece and adhere with Dimensionals to card front.
These cards were provided as one of our take home, bonus make & takes from the Convention in July. I finally sat down and tried them out and I love how quickly it all went together for two super adorable cards!
