Swallowtail With Designer Paper & Markers

I had lots of fun playing with the Swallowtail image last week!  Here are two cool experiments:

I tried embossing the Swallowtail image on some of the Sale-A-Bration Sycamore Street Designer Series Papers and then coloring it with Markers.

Version #1 uses the Summer Starfruit pattern from the Sycamore Street DSP.  I stamped in VersaMark and embossed in Basic Black Embossing Powder.  I should have taken a photo of that, because it looked pretty awesome without the coloring.

The Lacy & Lovely sentiment is also embossed.

I colored in the sections with Summer Starfruit, Melon Mambo and Tangerine Tango Markers.  The paper's pattern slightly shows through for a nice effect. 

I used a Sponge Dauber to add some Champagne Shimmer Mist Paint over the top for shine!  Gorgeous!

Version #2 uses the Razzleberry dotted pattern from the Sycamore Street DSP.  I tried Pool Party Embossing Powder on the Swallowtail and Blooming With Kindness sentiment for a bold contrast.  Not sure if I like it very much…what do you think? 

This time, I used Rich Razzleberry, Pacific Point and Elegant Eggplant Markers to color the wings.
