Sweet Conversations Valentine’s Day Cards

Hi Stamping Friends!

How are you? I have missed you so much! I have been spending most of my days (and nights) getting to know my sweet little Miss Ava. She is two months old today, January 17. I'm not sure where two months went. She is growing so quickly and has already changed so much!

Sweet Conversations Valentine's Joy Fold
I received this cool modified "joy fold" style card from Betty Westbrich featuring the awesome Sweet Conversations Bundle.

Background Basics—The base of this card has three parts. The first is a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" quarter sheet of Highland Heather cardstock. The second is a 5-3/4" x 5-1/4" piece of Sweet Talk Designer Series Paper that is scored along the 5-3/4" side at the 1-3/4" mark. This DSP is mounted onto the Highland Heather card base with the fold on the left side, like a book. The third part is a 4-1/2" x 3-3/8" piece of Highland Heather that's scored at the 2-1/4" mark. It's mounted onto the center of the inside of the card base, with the fold on the right side.

Card Front Décor—The front is decorated with a Basic White scallop rectangle die-cut from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. Betty stamped several larger and smaller Sweet Conversations hearts in both Real Red and Highland Heather ink onto Basic White. They were all die-cut with the corresponding Sweet Hearts Dies. Some of the hearts were popped up with Dimensionals and all were brushed with a little shimmery Wink of Stella.

Sweet Sentiment—The Sweet Conversations sentiment was stamped in Real Red ink onto a 3" x 3/8" piece of of Basic White. It's adhered to a 3-1/4" x 1/2" piece of Highland Heather, then the ends were cut on the diagonal. The whole think was popped up with Dimensionals. Careful not to have it too far to the right or the front flap will not open properly. Betty added a Real Red Faux Linen bow to the card with a Glue Dot.

Sweet Conversations Mini Envelope Card
I received this lovely swap from Marcia Gay, also featuring the Sweet Conversations Bundle.

Background Basics—This card begin with a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Highland Heather adhered to a Thick Basic White card base. Next, Marcia adhered a 2-1/2" x 5-1/4" piece of Sweet Talk DSP to a 2-3/4" x 5-1/4" piece of Real Red cardstock, then centered it onto the card front. .

Focal Point—Marcia embossed a 2" x 2" piece of Basic White with the Dotty Hearts Embossing Folder, then adhered it to a 2-1/4" x 2-1/4" piece of Real Red and added it to the card front. She die-cut the tiny envelope from Blushing Bride cardstock with the Sweet Hearts Dies, folded it up and adhered it to the center of the diamond shape. She decorated the envelope with a mini Playful Pets trim bow and a Sweet Talk Designer Series Paper heart die-cut with the Sweet Hearts die coming out of the envelope.

Maternity Leave Update—We are enjoying our sweet little Ava, born on November 17.

►LIVE Classes—My regular schedule is temporarily on hold while we adjust to our new lives with baby Ava. I may do some LIVE videos without offering kits, but it will just depend on how things are going. I'll let you know in plenty of time if I decide to go ahead with a LIVE Class.

►Modified Maternity Leave—I'm on what I call a "modified maternity leave" between now and January 31. What this means is that I will not be having regular events, LIVE Classes, daily blog posts, or regular Facebook posts. However, I'm not stepping away from my business completely! I WILL still be touching base with you as much as I can, giving you updates on Stampin' Up! promos, having some of my own specials, sharing creative ideas & tips, and, of course, giving you updates on baby girl. I want to still be accessible to you for ordering and any questions you may have. I thank you in advance for your understanding and continued business during my downtime and I'm looking forward to being back stamping with you regularly early in 2022.

  1. Thank you for sharing sweet Ava with us. The last picture I saw was before your delivery. It is nice of you to put up more information.
I guess it is still too soon to know if she is going to have your creative talents. Her best talents will be entertaining mom and dad.
Love and prayers to you. Barbara
