Sweet Designer Series Paper Card Front Cards
Stampin' Up! Designer Series Papers have such beautiful double-sided patterns that I love to use them on projects that highlight BOTH sides of the paper. This card style is designed to do just that! You can adapt it easily to use any double-sided papers that you might have. I chose to feature two papers that you can earn right now for FREE with a $50 order during Sale-a-Bration thru March 31, 2019.
Background Basics—This card begins with a 5-3/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock, scored at the 4-1/4" mark along the 5-3/4" side. This creates a card base with a skinny card front flap. I also cut a 4" x 5-1/2" piece of the beautiful Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper.
To adhere the two together, I added Tear & Tape Adhesive down the left edge of both pieces. If you line up the two pieces flush on the right, then take the Tear & Tape backing off and simply close the flap, it will create your pretty card base.
Background Décor—I added a 4-1/4" x 1-1/2" piece of the copper Petal Promenade paper to the front to create a foundation for the sentiment focal point. I also tied some Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon around the card front next to the fold.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Strong & Beautiful sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink onto Whisper White and die-cut it with the Layering Circles Framelits. It's layered onto a Copper Foil scallop circle, die-cut with the same dies, then popped up with Dimensionals onto the card front.
Finishing Touches—I stamped a Butterfly Gala tiny butterfly in Poppy Parade ink onto Whisper White cardstock. Next, I used a Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to color over the image and pull the ink from the image in to fill the image with shimmery color. It's punched with the Butterfly Duet Punch, attached with a Glue Dot and adorned with Artisan Pearls. I added a couple more pearls under the sentiment, too.
TIP: You can cut your Butterfly Gala photopolymer stamps apart to use each image individually. Make it a jagged cut, so the stamps will fit back together like a puzzle piece, so you can use them together later.
Inside The Card—I stamped a complementary Strong & Beautiful phrase on the inside with Poppy Parade ink.
Two Cool—For the second version, I started with a Basic Black card base and the Botanical Butterflly DSP from Sale-a-Bration. I wrapped some Lemon Lime Twist Ombré Ribbon around the card front. I added a 1-1/2" x 3-3/4" piece of Balmy Blue cardstock, banner cut on the end, to the card front with SNAIL adhesive.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the All Adorned phrase in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Whisper White, then punched it out with the Story Label Punch. I punched a second Lemon Lime Twist shape, cut it in half length-wise and positioned them under the top and bottom of the sentiment label. It's popped up with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—I punched a small butterfly from the Botanical Butterflies DSP with the Butterfly Duet Punch and attached with a Glue Dot. I finished by adding a little Wink of Stella to the word "best" to make it eye-catching. So cool!
