Sponged Ice Cream Corner Birthday Cards
I'm always in need of extra birthday cards and the Ice Cream Corner Suite has sweet treat images that are perfect for birthdays of any age! I received an adorable Sweet Ice Cream birthday card from Yvette Sanchez and CASEd it in a different color combination for my LIVE Class video.

Two Ice Cream Cones Birthday - poppy
Background Basics—I began this card with a 4-1/4" x 9-1/4" Poppy Parade card base, scored at the 5-1/2" mark. The top front panel is decorated with a 4" x 3-1/2" piece of Poppy Parade that's been embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.

I adhered a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White to the inside of the card, then added a 4" x 2" piece of Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper with one of the watercolor splotches patterns. That provides the color palette for the card.

Focal Point Layers & Sentiment—I die-cut a Basic White Stitched Rectangle and stamped a Sweet Ice Cream sentiment at the bottom in Poppy Parade ink. It's layered onto a 2-3/4" x 4-1/8" piece of Bumblebee cardstock. The layers are mounted onto the top front panel with SEAL Adhesive. I also stamped the birthday greeting in Cinnamon Cider ink onto a 3-3/4" x 7/8" piece of Basic White and popped it up above the first greeting with Dimensionals.

Sponged Scoops—I stamped the Sweet Ice Cream cones in Cinnamon Cider ink onto Basic White scrap, added the waffle cone pattern in Cinnamon Cider and punched them out with the Ice Cream Builder Punch. They are adhered with SEAL. For the flavored ice cream, I inked up the ice cream scoop in Bumblebee ink, then sponged some Calypso Coral in with a Sponge Dauber directly onto the photopolymer image. I stamped the inked and sponged stamps onto Basic White, punched them out. I finished with some Poppy Parade stamped sprinkles on the scoops and popped them up with Dimensionals. I finished with a couple of Champagne Rhinestones.

Inside The Card—I added a complementary greeting on the inside in Cinnamon Cider ink.

Gift Card Holder Option—You can easily make this style of card into a gift card holder! Simply adhere the DSP on the sides and bottom only, leaving the top of the DSP open to hold that gift card. Be sure to use a more secure adhesive like Tear & Tape for the pocket.

Two Ice Cream Cones Birthday - bermuda

Two Cool—This is the cool swap card that I CASEd, created by Yvette Sanchez! I loved her card design so much, I just had to duplicate and offer it as part of my LIVE Class!

Two Ice Cream Cones Birthday - bermuda 2

Background Basics—Yvette's card begins with a Bermuda Bay card base and she added one of the other watercolor splotches pattern from the Ice Cream Corner DSP along the inside bottom. Her die-cut Stitched Rectangle is stamped in Pool Party ink with one of the sprinkles images from the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set. It's layered onto a Granny Apple Green layer.

She stamped the smaller sentiment in Bermuda Bay and the larger greeting in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Her birthday sentiment layer measures 4" x 1" and has a banner cut on one side.

Sweet Scoops—Yvette's cones are punched directly from the Ice Cream Corner DSP. Her scoops are sponged with Pool Party and Granny Apple Green ink and topped with Bermuda Bay sprinkles. She finished with a couple of Rhinestone Jewels. What a fun card! Thanks for sharing, Yvette!
