Hi Stamping Friends!
Do you ever feel like the universe is conspiring against you? That's how I've been feeling lately. Between sleep deprivation, being sick for 3 weeks, my email not working for several days, my blogging platform not functioning properly, my computer that keeps crashing and my internet going out for 2 days, it's been a real struggle to keep this stamping ship afloat. I've taken it as God's way of telling me to slow down and enjoy some extra time with my family. So that's exactly what I've been doing. Thank you all for continuing to check in to see where I am and send encouraging words. I'm hoping that some of these issues will be working themselves out soon, so I can get on to more fun with you!
When Is The Next LIVE Class? Not sure yet, but I'm working on one! I will let you know!
Will You Be Doing A Paper Share For The Mini? Yes! Look for information to come later this week!

Sweet Songbirds Front Flap Cards
Is it just me being a new mom or are these little baby bird cards just so sweet?! There are two different ways that you can use the sentiments for a welcome baby themed card. Plus, it's a cool card style, too!
Background Basics—This card style has a two-part base. The first is a 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" quarter sheet of Soft Succulent cardstock. The second is a 2-3/4" x 8-1/2" piece of Soft Succulent that is scored at the 4-1/4" mark. I adhered the smaller folded card to the card foundation, just a little offset to the left. I added a 2-1/2" x 4" piece of Pretty Prints Designer Series Paper to the front of the front flap, then tied some Pale Papaya Open Weave Ribbon around the flap into a double-knot.
Inside The Card—Next, I created the inside scene on a piece of 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Basic White. I stamped the Sweet Songbirds branch twice in Early Espresso and added leaves in Soft Succulent. I used my tip of inking just part of the leaves image (two leaves only) and stamping them along the branch to give it more foliage. I added a couple of sign strings at the top right in Sahara Sand ink, positioning it so the sign would be seen when the card was closed. Then I finished with the second part of the sentiment, stamped in Early Espresso and positioned under the front flap when closed. I adhered the whole stamped piece onto the card base with SEAL Adhesive.
Sweet Circle—I die-cut a Basic White Stylish Shapes circle and stamped the branch and leaves onto the bottom of it, so it looks like an extension of the inside background branches. I also stamped the bird feet in Sahara Sand and some musical notes in Early Espresso before adhering the circle to the flap with SEAL Adhesive.
Sweet Songbirds—I stamped the smaller Sweet Songbird in Flirty Flamingo ink onto Basic White and hand-cut it with Paper Snips. I added sleepy eyes in Early Espresso and a beak in Calypso Coral. Then, I stamped the nest in Early Espresso ink onto Sahara Sand cardstock and hand-cut it out. I cut the tail off the small bird and adhered it into the nest before popping them both with Dimensionals.
Next, I stamped the large Sweet Songbird and wing images in Pale Papaya ink onto Basic White, then punched with the Songbird Builder Punch. I added eyes in Early Espresso and a beak in Calypso Coral, then popped up the bird with Dimensionals. I finished by punching out a Calypso Coral beak and using it as a heart shape, adhered with Multipurpose Glue.
Sweet Sign—Last, but not least, is the cute little sign! I stamped the wood image in Sahara Sand onto Basic White cardstock, then added the sentiment in Early Espresso ink. It's hand cut and popped up with Dimensionals over the sign strings. So, so cute!
Two Cool—I LOVE the colors for this second version! I started with a Starry Sky card base and front flap. I decorated the front with a piece of Orchid Oasis from the In Color 6×6" Designer Series Paper pack. I tied the top of the flap with a Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon.
Sweet Scene—The inside has Early Espresso branches with Parakeet Party leaves. I also added some Fresh Freesia flowers, stamping some of them twice without re-inking for a double flower look. The sign strings are in Sahara Sand and the sentiments are in Orchid Oasis.
Sweet Songbirds—This time the baby bird is stamped in Fresh Freesia with a Polished Pink stamped and punched beak. The larger bird is stamped in stamped-off Orchid Oasis with the same Polished Pink beak. Eyes are in Early Espresso, feet in Sahara Sand and musical notes in Orchid Oasis. What do you think?
