Sweet Symmetry Best Day Ever Cards
Here's a pair of quick & easy cards that allow you to feature two of your favorite coordinating patterns of the Sweet Symmetry Designer Series Paper.
Background Basics—I adhered 1-1/2" x 5-1/4" and 2-1/2" x 5-1/4" pieces of Sweet Symmetry DSP to a Bumblebee card base. Then I tied some matching Flirty Flamingo Metallic Ribbon down the seam of the papers into a double-knot.
Sweet Bloom Focal Point—On a Basic White Stitched Rectangles die-cut, I stamped the large In Symmetry flower image in Flirty Flamingo, then added a stem and leaves in Night of Navy. I wanted to mimic the flowers shown on the DSP so I stamped another small flower in Bumblebee ink onto Basic White cardstock, trimmed it out by hand and adhered it to the center of the flower. I popped this layer up onto the card front with Dimensionals. So sweet!
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the In Symmetry greeting in Night of Navy ink onto a 3-1/4" x 3/4" piece of So Saffron cardstock, then adhered that across the bottom of the rectangle with SEAL Adhesive. I finished with a couple of gold Metallic Pearls.
Two Cool—I selected two more coordinating patterns of Sweet Symmetry DSP for the two cool version. They are mounted onto Just Jade card base and tied with some Just Jade Braided Ribbon. I love how that ribbon frays!
Flower Focal Point—Again, I wanted the focal point flower to coordinate with the background, so I stamped it in Poppy Parade with Just Jade stem and leaves and a Bumblebee mini flower for the center. The sentiment is similar to the first card with Just Jade ink instead.
