Sweet Symmetry Z-Fold Cards
The single flower images from In Symmetry are perfect as a focal point for a fun Z-Fold card! The sentiments fit perfectly, too!
Background Basics—My Just Jade card base is the traditional 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" with a score at the 4-1/4". I added another score line at the 2-1/8" mark for the Z-Fold card front. I adhered a 1-7/8" x 5-1/4" piece of Sweet Symmetry Designer Series Paper on the front flap, then added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock to the inside of the card.
Sweet Bloom Focal Point—I stamped an In Symmetry sentiment in Night of Navy ink onto the bottom of a Basic White Hippo & Friends label die-cut. At the top, I stamped one of the In Symmetry flowers in Flirty Flamingo ink, then added a stem and leaves in Just Jade ink.
Next, I adhered a piece of the Just Jade Braided Ribbon across a 2-3/4" x 4-1/4" piece of Night of Navy cardstock, fraying the ends. This foundation is adhered to the front Z-Fold panel with SEAL Adhesive, then the stamped focal point was popped up on it with Dimensionals. I finished by adding a single gold Metallic Pearl to the flower center.
Inside The Card—I decorated the 2-1/2" x 4" Basic White inside piece to match my card front. Be sure to watch the video replay for a tip on how to adhere that inside piece so it perfectly hides behind the front element.
Two Cool—My second version has the same DSP mounted onto a Flirty Flamingo Z-Fold card base. I added So Saffron to the inside this time.
Flower Focal Point—I started with the same foundation in Night of Navy, but selected a different flower in Bumblebee ink and a different sentiment. I also layered some Flirty Flamingo Metallic Ribbon behind the label and decorated the flower with a few gold Metallic Pearls.
