Hi Stamping Friends!
This time of year always reminds me of my visits to northern Michigan during cherry season! I remember visiting Cherry Republic in Glen Arbor with my mom and it was one of my favorite places "up North." They boast having more than 200 cherry products for sale in this adorable little store in the woods. From cherry pie and ice cream, to cherry salsa and trail mix, to cherry beers and wines…it's THE place to go if you love cherries. My personal favorite was chocolate covered cherries…YUM! You can order online and they make great gifts! <<<not a paid endorsement!
My mom especially loved Glen Arbor and spent a lot of time there with friends. I can hardly believe that she's been gone 14 years. Her birthday was yesterday and she would have been 78. I miss "My Mommy" so much…especially now that I'm a mom for the first time. I so wish that my little Ava could have met her most awesome grandma Bobbi and that my mom could have held that sweet girl in her arms and loved on her.
Today's post is dedicated to the memory of My Mommy and features the Sweetest Cherries Bundle and two cool fun fold swap cards.

Sweetest Cherries Front Flap Card
Thank you to Deb Snyder for sending me this swap card. I love the little layered twist on a regular front flap card.
Background Basics—Deb started with a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" Starry Sky card foundation then added a 3-3/4" x 4-3/4" piece of Real Red cardstock in the center of it. Next, she created the folded card, measuring 3-1/4" x 8-1/2" and scored and folded at the 4-1/4" mark. She stamped the Sweetest Cherries sentiment on the bottom of it in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then mounted in the center of the card, too.
Sweet Cherry—Deb stamped the Sweetest Cherry in Real Red ink onto Basic White cardstock, then punched it out with the coordinating Cherry Builder Punch. She also punched out a Soft Suede cardstock stem and some Granny Apple Green cardstock leaves. The cherry was assembled and adhered to a Basic White Decorative Circle Punch shape and popped up onto the card flap with Dimensionals. One of the leaves is popped up as well. She finished by adding a single Rhinestone Jewels to the cherry on one if its "shine" spots.
Inside Layering—I love how Deb finished the card up on the inside. She layered on a 4-1/4" x 1-1/2" strip of Starry Sky In Color Designer Series Paper so that it decorates the inside and shows on the sides when the card is closed. She added a Sweetest Cherries sentiment in Memento Black ink onto a 2-3/4" x 3/4" piece of Basic White. Deb added a cute little Parakeet Party twine bow and attached it with a dab of Liquid Multipurpose Glue. I love it, Deb! And I also love that red, white and blue color combination!
Michelle Theriault made this adorable summer Sweetest Cherries swap card with a fun "photo album" style opening. So cute!
Background Basics—Michelle's card begins with a 11" x 4-1/4" Poppy Parade card base, scored and folded at the 4-1/2 and 5-1/2" marks. The 1" spine of the card is adhered down and decorated with a 3/4" x 4" piece of Basic White cardstock that was stamped with the Sweetest Cherries texture image in Memento Black. I thought it was Designer Series Paper at first!
Next, she die-cut a 4-1/4" x 4" piece of Basic White with the Dots & Spots die and layered it over a piece of Basic Black of the same size. That kind of looks like DSP, too! It's mounted on the card front with SEAL Adhesive, then the card was tied with some Black & White Gingham Ribbon.
Sweet Cherries—Michelle stamped the Sweetest Cherries in Poppy Parade, the stem in Early Espresso and the leaves in Granny Apple Green, all onto Basic White cardstock. She punched out the shapes and adhered them to the card front with Dimensionals.
Sweet Sentiment—Michelle stamped the Sweetest Cherries sentiment in VersaMark ink onto Basic Black cardstock and embossed it with white embossing powder. It's hand-trimmed and popped up onto the card front with more Dimensionals.
Inside The Card—Michelle decorated the 4-1/4" x 4" Basic White inside with another stamped cherry and a coordinating phrase in Memento Black ink.
