Jodi geers - merry simple

#1 Sweetly Simple Perfect Pines Card

Jodi Geers created this beautifully elegant Christmas card that I LOVE!  I think what makes me love it most is that I struggle so much when I try to create something so simple.  I can never come up with something so stunning…and super-quick to make!

Background Basics—Jodi started with a 4-1/4" x 11" piece of Whisper White card stock for the base.  She used the largest Perfect Pines tree framelit to die-cut the window on the card front.

Peaceful Pine—Next, Jodi stamped the Peaceful Pines dotted tree image in VersaMark through the window onto the inside of the card.  It's easy with the see-thru photopolymer stamps!  She opened the card to emboss the tree with Silver Embossing Powder.

Sweet Sentiment—Jodi die-cut the Christmas Greetings word from Red Foil Paper and adhered the word with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen over the top of the window.  Done!

Bundle It & SAVE—Purchase the Peaceful Pines stamp set and Perfect Pines Thinlits in a Bundle to save 15% off both products!

#1 Complete Supplies List—"Clear" means a rubber stamp on a clear block. "Photopolymer" is see-thru.

Peggy tassler - vellum ornament

#2 Terrifically Textured Vellum Ornament Card

Peggy Tassler took her swap card in a totally different direction with lots of layers, patterns and textures!

Background Basics—Peggy started by embossing a 4" x 2-3/4" piece of Real Red card stock with the Large Polka Dot Folder and adhere it to a Real Red card base. She added tiny Gold Foil circles, punched from the Owl Builder Punch, in between the polka dots with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.

Next, she covered a 4" x 2-1/2" piece of Whisper White with a 4" x 2-1/5" piece of the Holiday Fancy Foil Vellum.  I love those shiny green trees!  She wrapped some Gold Cording Trim around a 4" x 1" piece of white Corrugated Paper, then adhered it over the seam.

Ornament Details—Peggy stamped the Embellished Ornaments sentiment in Black onto Whisper White, then die-cut the shape with the Delicate Ornaments Thinlits.  Another ornament was die-cut from the Winter Wonderland Vellum Stack to layer over the top of it with Fast Fuse.  She popped up the ornament, then topped it with a Gold Foil die-cut hanger and hook.

Vellum TIP: If you're adhering vellum onto a light colored card stock, the Fast Fuse adhesive will not show through the vellum!

Bundle It & SAVE—Purchase the Embellished Ornaments stamp set and Delicate Ornaments Thinlits in a Bundle to save 15% off both products!

#2 Complete Supplies List—"Clear" means a rubber stamp on a clear block. "Photopolymer" is see-thru.

  1. I don’t quite understand about the little green trees. I think I need more pictures. Nevertheless, I love both cards. Thanks
