Hi Stamping Friends!

Today, I'm sharing another set of cards from my Stamper Sampler Sympathy Card Stamp-a-Stack Class that is coming up next week!

Don't forget that tomorrow is the last day to register for my Build A Birthday Stamp-of-the-Month Class

Woohoo!  Look what showed up at my door today!  It's my official Founder's Circle congratulations letter, Founder's Circle button and the coveted Founder's Circle bag, a "Last Splash" zippered beach bag tote!  This is really happening!  I'm going to savor every moment!  Can't wait for the retreat!

Wild About Flowers Garden Sympathy Cards

I love the pretty wildflower silhouettes in the Wild About flowers two-step stamp set!  They are perfect for layering together to make a whole field of flowers!

We'll be creating these three cards as part of the Sympathy Card Stamp-a-Stack on August 13!

CASEd from Vicky Hayes at Crafting Claire.

Wildflowers Background Basics—I created this Old Olive card base to be a vertical fold, measuring 11" x 4-1/4" and folded in half.  My stamped layer is 4" x 4-1/4" in Whisper White.

Layered Stamping Order—Like the first Sympathy cards I posted yesterday, these use layers to create a collage of images.  The thing I love about this Wild About Flowers two-step stamp is that the image sheet inside the case has the images numbered, so you can match up the stems to the flowers easily!  See the little arrows with the numbers?! Too Cool!

Here is the order that I added images to help you with positioning:

  • Start with the long leaf from Butterfly Basics, stamped in Pear Pizzazz and off to the side you want opposite of your sentiment.
  • Add two Wild About Flowers bold stems #3, in Mossy Meadow ink, at staggered heights.
  • Stamp Melon Mambo flowers #3 on the tops of the stems.
  • Fill in some of the white spaces at the bottom with the #1 stems stamped in Pear Pizzazz ink.
  • Add #1 flowers to the stems with Pumpkin Pie ink.

Garden Butterfly—No field of flowers would be complete without a Bitty Butterfly punched from Pumpkin Pie card stock!  I adhered it with a Glue Dot, then bent the wings to make it "alight" on the card front.  It's adorned with Pearl Jewels.

Finishing Touches—I added some 2014-2016 In Color Designer Washi Tape in Mossy Meadow across the bottom and trimmed the ends flush with the edges of the card.

Sweet Sentiment—Remember the awesome Watercolor Wishes Card Kit?!  I love, love, LOVE the sentiments in that kit and that's what I used for this card!  I stamped it in Melon Mambo, punched it out with the Extra-Large Oval Punch, then popped it up with Dimensionals.  So sweet!

Two Cool—For the second version, I simply flipped everything to the other side.  Remember that Sympathy card class attendees can choose a different sentiment to make this card a thank you or birthday card, too.  It's pretty for lots of occasions!

This card design would be so fun to try with different color blossoms!  Play with the colors and layering!  So much fun!

Three Cool—My third version uses the same elements on the horizontal.

I love the look of the sentiment oval over the top of the flowers here.  This lovely card is sure to give the recipient a smile!

I Want To Hear From You!  See how I remembered the butterfly on this one?!  But, if I were to try this one in different colors, which color combo should I use?  Leave me a comment at the bottom of the page!
