Tag Buffet Merry Christmas Stocking Cards

I love this fun diagonal card design and it's surprisingly easy to create! Pick your favorite DSP (maybe it's on sale thru tomorrow!), and a focal point image and try making this card style on your own!

Background Basics—I started with a 4" x 4" piece of Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper (on sale now!). I sliced the bottom of the piece at a diagonal with my Stampin' Trimmer. I just kind of eye-balled it, because it doesn't need to be exact. The cut left about 1" on the left side and about 1-3/4" on the right. Next, adhere the corresponding pieces to the top and bottom of a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock.

Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Tag Buffet sentiment in Cherry Cobbler ink across the diagonal Whisper White space, as close to the left edge as I could. I adhered a 3/8" strip of Gold Foil along the top of the diagonal and a 1/2" strip of Mossy Meadow cardstock along the bottom edge of the diagonal. After trimming off the excess parts of the strips, I mounted the card front layers onto a Mossy Meadow card base. I added a few Red Rhinestones along the Mossy Meadow strip, too.

Sweet Stocking—I stamped the Tag Buffet stocking image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Whisper White and colored it in with Stampin' Blends Markers. I used Real Red with Cherry Cobbler shading, along with Mossy Meadow Blends. After hand-cutting the image, I popped it up with Dimensionals. I brushed on some Wink of Stella glimmer for some extra sparkle. Then, I finished up by adding a Real Red Sheer Ribbon bow to the stocking.

Two Cool—My second card begins with a 4" x 4" piece of Plaid Tidings DSP (also on sale thru tomorrow!). I cut it diagonally and mounted it onto Whisper White, then stamped a shorter Tag Buffet sentiment in Cherry Cobbler. The top of the diagonal has Silver Foil this time and the bottom is lined with a Shaded Spruce cardstock strip.
