Tag Buffet Book Card - two cool
Tag Buffet 'Tis The Season Cards
I'm not sure what you call this card style, but I love how it opens like a photo album. There's a 1" "spine" that is secured, so that only a portion of the card front opens. A little different and fun and it works perfectly with this Tag Buffet ornament design!
Tag Buffet Book Card - olive
Background Basics—I started with a 11" x 4-1/4" piece of Old Olive cardstock, scored at the 5-1/2" and 6-1/2" marks. I used Tear & Tape Adhesive to secure the "spine" panel to the inside the card.

Background Décor—I embossed a 1" x 4" piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock with one of the Wrapped In Texture Mini Embossing Folders and adhered it with SEAL onto the spine. I added a 4" x 4" piece of Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper onto the shortened card front. I finished by adding a 3-3/8" x 3-3/8" square of Real Red cardstock for a foundation for the focal point.

Wonderful Ornaments—I stamped a Tag Buffet sentiment in Real Red ink onto a 3-1/4" x 3-1/4" piece of Whisper White. Next, I stamped the Tag Buffet ornaments in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto scrap Whisper White cardstock. I colored them both with Real Red and Old Olive Stampin' Blends Markers, with Smoky Slate for the ornament toppers. I brushed on some shimmery Wink of Stella Glimmer, too!

After hand-cutting them with my super-sharp Paper Snips, I adhered pieces of gold trim from the Forever Greenery Trim Pack to the back of the ornaments, adhered the ornaments to the square, then wrapped the trim around the top edge and secured those to the back of the piece. I popped up that layer with Dimensionals.

Finishing Touches—I tied bows in the Greenery gold trim, attaching them with Glue Dots to the top of the ornaments to finish those, then added a single Gilded Gem next to the sentiment.

Inside The Card—Don't forget to add a simple Real Red ornament image with an Old Olive bow to the inside 4" x 4" message panel.

Two Cool—The second version has a Night of Navy card base with Night of Navy embossed cardstock on the spine.

I decorated the front panel with a 4" x 4" piece of Snowflake Splendor DSP and added a Night of Navy foundation for the focal point. The sentiment is stamped in Pacific Point to match the colors in the DSP.

Sweet Ornaments—This time the ornaments are colored with Highland Heather and Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends Markers. The Wink of Stella shimmer is a must and looks amazing! I used the cool Snowflake Splendor Ribbon to hang the ornaments, tying a small knot instead of a bulky bow for the topper. I finished with Pool Party Holiday Rhinestones.

The Old Olive card is part of the 5-Card LIVE Class and both cards will be in the 12-Card Class Kit.

  1. Such a great video. I make a zillion different cards for friends, neighbors, and charities. The stocking was fun and great for some people. My favorite ones are the ornaments especially the blue version. Wow really made an impact on the different colors and I plan making some of them. With the plaids, some almost have a masculine feel to them. I have a couple guys who will love this version. Thank you for sharing your creativity with us.
