Tags In Bloom Peekaboo Cello Bag Treat Holder
I created these little treat holders for a recent team event and they were a big hit! They are super-easy to create and they hold A LOT of goodies! I especially like that the design allows you to get a peek of the contents inside. Too Cool!
Bag Foundation Basics—The treat holder starts with a cardstock foundation measuring 8-3/4" x 2-3/4" and scored at the 1-1/2", 3-1/2" and 7-1/4" marks.
Next, I decorated three of the panels of the base. I cut a 2-1/2" x 6" strip of the Best Dressed 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, then trimmed off two 2-1/2" x 1-1/4" pieces. The piece leftover measures 2-1/2" x 3-1/2". I folded the base on all of the score lines to create the bottom pouch structure. The two smaller DSP pieces are adhered to the top flap and the bottom front flap. The larger piece mounts along the inside back of the base.
Cello Bag—I cut down one of the 3" x 9" Printed Gusseted Cellophane Bags by laying the bag on a Paper Trimmer and trimming at the 5-1/4" mark. Then, I inserted the cardstock base into the cello bag. I folded the top flap down, lined up the back of the base with the top of the cello bag and stapled the bag to the base as high along that fold as I could. This will allow the other side of the bag to be tucked under the flap and easily opened to access the treats. Please refer to the LIVE Class Video linked above to see this assembly in action.

Decorating The Bag—This version starts with a Lovely Lipstick cardstock base with coordinating Best Dressed DSP. I stamped the dotted outline Tags In Bloom image in Blushing Bride onto Blushing Bride cardstock, punching it out with the Label Me Lovely Punch and popping it up with Dimensionals. I stamped the smaller decorative label in Lovely Lipstick onto Whisper White, added a Tags In Bloom sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and punched it with the Label Me Fancy Punch. It's popped up, too.
Remember the Tags In Bloom stamp set can be earned for FREE with a $100 order during Sale-a-Bration, thru March 31, 2020.
Finishing Touches—I added a Petal Pink Metallic Edge Ribbon bow over the staple with a Glue Dot. Next, I stamped the Dressed To Impress flower in Memento Black onto Whisper White, colored it in with Lovely Lipstick, Mint Macaron and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends Markers, die-cut it with the All Dressed Up dies and attached it with a Glue Dot. I also added some Wink of Stella shimmer on the flower.
I love that you can see the contents from the side. When the cello bag front is tucked under the top flap, the pouch sits up straight in a tent-like pouch. I also love the how the printed cello pattern looks against the colored cardstock. Notice that I stapled the top so the "pretty" top of the staple shows to the back and the clamp side is on the inside.
It's so easy to open the cello bag to access the treats, then tuck it back under the flap! Love this design!
Two Cool—I created another version with a Mint Macaron base, another pretty pattern from Best Dressed DSP and similar layering.
Three Cool—My last version starts with a Highland Heather cardstock base, a Soft Sea Foam layer, and a Petal Pink flower. I added a couple of Champagne Rhinestones, too.
