Lee's Tasteful Touches You Are Special Card
The black and Mango Melody color combination that Lee Conrey used on this swap card is so striking and elegant!
Background Basics—Lee stamped the pretty Tasteful Touches leaves image in Memento Tuxedo Black randomly over a 4-7/8" x 3-5/8" piece of Whisper White, then matted it onto a 5" x 3-3/4" piece of Mango Melody. It's mounted onto a Basic Black card base.
Sweet Sentiment—She stamped the Tasteful Touches sentiment in Memento Black onto a die-cut created with the Tasteful Labels dies. Those dies are another that fall into the must-have category! You can never have enough label shapes! I love how she accented the label by die-cutting another label in Basic Black, cutting it in half lengthwise and positioning it to frame the top and bottom of the sentiment layer. The layers are popped up with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—Lee stamped the pretty Tasteful Touches flower in Mango Melody onto Whisper White cardstock, then fussy-cut it and popped it up, too. She finished by coloring some Rhinestone Jewels with the Dark Basic Black Stampin' Blends Marker for an elegant line of sparkle!
Laurie's Tasteful Touches You Are Special Card
Laurie Krauss sent me this beautiful card that also features images and papers from the In Good Taste suite.
Background Basics—She started by stamping the Tasteful Touches leaves image in Early Espresso ink onto a 5-1/4" x 4" Early Espresso layer. Next she added a 4" x 3" In Good Taste Designer Series Paper piece that has a realistic photo that looks like tweed. She wrapped some Petal Pink Striped Organdy Ribbon across the layers, tucking the ends behind it, before mounting everything onto an Early Espresso card base.
Sweet Sentiment—I love Laurie's unique sentiment layer! She stamped the Tasteful Touches sentiment in Early Espresso ink onto another piece of In Good Taste DSP, this time a tile pattern measuring 3" x 1". She added a fun accent by punching a little corner detail with the Detailed Trio Punch, then popped it up with Dimensionals. She added some Champagne Rhinestones near the punch, as well as on the tweed background.
Flower Accent—Laurie finished with a pretty Tasteful Touches flower, stamped in Memento Black ink onto Whisper White and colored with Cherry Cobbler and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends Markers. She fussy-cut the flower, like the first card, and popped it up. Love that pop of color!
