Thoughtful Branches Winter Cardinals Cards

Along with being a must-have bundle for fall, the Thoughtful Branches stamps & thinlits can be used to create some pretty stunning winter cards, too! Today's monochromatic card blows me away with it's simplicity & elegance!

What you're not able to see in the photos is that I used the beautiful Shimmery White card stock for the background and tree layers. The subtle shimmer reminds me of a frosty winter day!

Wouldn't this be a gorgeous Christmas card with a Cherry Cobbler sentiment? Hmmm…so many possibilities!

CASEd from Dawn Griffth at Dawn's Stamping Thoughts.

Stamped Background—I stamped the Thoughtful Branches trio of trees image in Sahara Sand ink onto a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Shimmery White card stock. I also added a greeting from the same set in the same ink.

I added a 3-3/4" x 1/2" strip of Sahara Sand card stock across the bottom, then matted the layer onto a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Sahara Sand. The layer is popped up with Dimensionals onto a Whisper White card base.

Winter Tree—I die-cut the bare tree shape with Shimmery White card stock using the Beautiful Branches Thinlits, then trimmed Dimensionals to skinny pieces to pop up the tree onto the card front. TIP: You can use larger pieces of Dimensionals under the tree where you plan to position the birds.

Cute Cardinals—I stamped the cardinals on some Shimmery White scrap with Cherry Cobbler ink, then die-cut them with the Beautiful Branches dies. They're added on with a Glue Dot.

Finishing Touches—I added three large Pearl Jewels to the bottom to finish out the white-on-white theme.

Two Cool—I used the same elements on a horizontal card for my second try. So, so pretty!
