Thoughtful Expressions Enjoy Your Day Card
For my final Thoughtful Expressions Class card, I used a layout from a swap card that I received from Polly Libby. I loved the pretty embossed background with the soft floral focal point.
Background Basics
This card begins with a 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Basic White cardstock that’s embossed with the Layered Floral Embossing Folder and mounted onto a Bubble Bath card base. Next, I layered a 5-1/4″ x 1-1/2″ piece of Poetic Expressions Designer Series Paper onto a 5-1/4″ x 1-5/8″ piece of Bubble Bath cardstock and adhered it across the center of the card front.
Focal Point Foundation
I die-cut a Bubble Bath Thoughtful Expressions label for the focal point background. Next, I used my SEAL Adhesive to run a line of adhesive across the card, then I added a strip of Wild Wheat Textured Ribbon across it, trimming the ends at a diagonal.
Focal Point
I stamped the Thoughtful Expressions two-flower image in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Basic White, then colored in the image with Stampin’ Blends Markers. I colored the flowers in Moody Mauve, the flower centers in Wild Wheat, the large leaves in Lost Lagoon and the small leaves in Bubble Bath. I die-cut the image, then popped it up with Dimensionals onto the label.
Sweet Sentiment
I stamped a Thoughtful Expressions sentiment in Moody Mauve ink onto a 3″ x 1/2” strip of Basic White, banner cut the end and popped it with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches
I die-cut two different Thoughtful Expressions leaves in Wild Wheat cardstock, tucked them under the focal point and attached them with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I finished by adding a few Iridescent Rhinestones floating around the flowers. So pretty!
Two Cool
My second card is nearly an exact CASE of Polly Libby’s swap card in terms of color. I just loved her card! This one has the white embossed layer mounted to a Lost Lagoon card base. I chose a Boho Blue pattern of Poetic Expressions DSP across a Lost Lagoon panel.
The focal point background label is die-cut from Boho Blue.
Focal Point
This time, I changed one of the Moody Mauve flowers to a Boho Blue color and changed the tiny leaves to Mossy Meadow. I tied some Lost Lagoon Bordered Ribbon around the card front before popping up the focal point. The die-cut leaves are in Lost Lagoon.
Sweet Sentiment
I stamped the Thoughtful Expressions greeting in Lost Lagoon on this one and finished with the same Iridescent Rhinestones.
