Too Cool Demo Team June Showcase – Part 1

I've been in crazy painting mode again!  This time, I'm trying to get my old house renovated so I can put it on the market without being completely embarrassed!  Taking down wallpaper, painting every room, new countertops, new shower doors…it's going to look better than it ever looked when I lived there!  Isn't that how it goes, I suppose.  Oh well.

In the meantime, not much has been happening in my Too Cool Stamping Studio.  However, my Too Cool Demo Team had some beautiful projects to share at our meeting in June.  Here are just some of the projects we saw…

Demo - michelle open sea   Demo - michelle open sea close

Created by Michelle Hoover.  Featuring the new The Open Sea stamp set and Baker's Twine (from the Summer Mini), Game Spinners, Cog Punch (soon to be retiring), Teeny Tiny Wishes, and Word Window Punch.  All of the elements look great together!  I especially love the gold embossing (click to enlarge the second photo), and that the compass dial actually spins!  Well done, Michelle!

Demo 1 - carmen blossom bouquet

Created by Carmen DeBruce.  Featuring the new Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch, Polka Dot Impressions Folder, Curly Cute stamp set, and Rhinestone Jewels.  (Sorry, Carmen, I accidently moved the ribbon and it covered the sentiment, so it's not the best picture.)  I love the four block of flowers and how she used the Corner Rounder Punch to create the petal-like blocks.  I also like the idea of using the Polka Dot embossing folder on only part of the background.  Nice!

Demo 1 - jodi fab florets front   Demo - jodi fab florets inside

Created by Jodi Geers.  Jodi made this card for her husband and it's a favorite of mine because it's so elegant and purple!  It features the new Fabulous Florets and Happy Greetings stamp sets, Scallop Edge Border Punch, Patterns Designer Series Paper.  I love how she added Dazzling Diamonds to the flower centers.  And check out the inside of the card in the second photo!  Wow!  So beautiful!

You can find out more about her card on her new blog: Polka Dot Stamper.  Way to go, Jodi!

Demo 1 - jodi simple white daisy

Created by Jodi Geers.  A simple, easy-to-make card featuring the Daisies #2 Die, You're A Gem stamp set and a Rhinestone Jewel.  She also used some Shimmer Mist & alcohol spray mixture to add a little glimmer to the whole card.  So understated and elegant!

Demo 1 - kari daisy 3x3   Demo - kari daisy 3x3 inside

Created by Kari Heitmann.  Kari also used the Daisies #2 Die to make a little 3×3" notecard.  I love how she decorated the inside to coordinate!  What a great little note card to add to a gift!

Demo 1 - kari scrunch flower   Demo - kari scrunch flower inside

Here's another 3×3" card that Kari made, this time using the Scallop Circle Punch to make a scrunchy flower on textured card stock.  The Scallop Trim Border Punch makes a lovely accent on the inside of the card!

Demo 1 - michelle wish big candles

Created by Michelle Hoover.  What a clever idea!  She used the wing from the Bird Punch to simulate flames for these extra-large birthday candles.  This card features the Celebrations Designer Series Paper (get it before it retires!), Word Play, 1-3/4" Circle Punch, Circles #2 Die, and 1/4" Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon.  She also used Crystal Effects on the flames, "BIG" word and star, which really adds some dimension.  It's so fun and colorful!  And, it could be used for any gender and any age—so versatile!  I must CASE this one!

More examples to come next time!
