Tranquil Tulips Trio Birthday Cards

Loveliness! Every time I stamp with these terrific two-step images it turns into a lovely card! I love it when the stamps do all the work for you!

Background Basics—The background of this card is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper, adhered to a Whisper White card base. I also adhered a 4" x 1" strip of Powder Pink card stock just below the center of the card to create a foundation for my focal point.

Two-Step Tulips—The bunch of tulips is so simple to create, but there is an order to the stamping that works best. I started with a Lots of Labels die-cut from Whisper White.

Stamp the trio of stems in Wild Wasabi ink so that the bottom of the center stem is right above the bottom of the label's edge.
Stamp the large solid tulip image in Calypso Coral on the top of the center stem.
Stamp the smaller lined tulip image directly over the top of the solid one in Calypso Coral ink.
Stamp the smaller solid tulip image on the two outer stems in Powder Pink ink.
Stamp the smaller lined tulip image directly over the top, also in Powder Pink.
Stamp either one or both of the leaf images in Wild Wasabi around the stems.
Stamp the off-set stamen image in Soft Suede onto the large tulip, just above the front petals.
Stamp the more symmetrical stamen image in Soft Suede onto the small tulips, just above the front petals.

Finishing Touches—I cheated on the bow to make it lay nicely. I wrapped Linen Thread around the label twice, then tied it into a knot onto the BACK of the label. The double-bow was tied separately and attached with a Glue Dot. The whole layer is popped up with Dimensionals onto the card front.

Sweet Sentiment—I added a birthday greeting from the Sweet Cupcake stamp set in Soft Suede ink onto a 1/2" wide strip of Whisper White. I trimmed the ends into fishtails with my super-sharp Paper Snips, then adhered it with SNAIL over the label and a Dimensional to pop up the over-hanging side.

Two Cool—My second version also begins with a pattern from the Delightful Daisy DSP, this time in Old Olive. I added a 1" strip in Island Indigo to the background.

Tulip Blues—The flowers are stamped in Island Indigo and Pool Party and the leaves and stems are stamped in Old Olive. The birthday greeting is also stamped in Island Indigo. Which color combination do you like best?
