I had so much fun with the Triple Time Lacy & Lovely card yesterday, that I tried the technique with another pair of Two Cool cards!
Oooh, the Reason To Smile set is terrific with this technique and I LOVE the color combination! You knew I had to try it with the set that is only available this month!! LOL!
I started by stamping the flourish image from Creative Elements in Crumb Cake ink for a patterned background. Next, I random stamped the bold large flower in Pretty In Pink, and the bold small flower in So Saffron. For the two-step stamping, I used Primrose Petals for the large blooms, and More Mustard for the smaller ones. The center of the larger flower is stamped a third time with the circle image, also in Primrose Petals.
Like yesterday's card, I added some shimmery spritz of color with a rubbing alcohol/Crumb Cake Refill/Champagne Shimmer Mist mixture. See more about making the Spritzing mixture. The soft Crumb Cake mist gives the project a bit of an antiqued look. I may add more ink next time, or even try a drop or two of Soft Suede for a sepia tone spritz!
Sentiments are from the Lacy & Lovely stamp set.
The horizontal version of this card design looks just as awesome! Hmmm. I think I should try mixing up the sizes of the layers, or making them off-center, on future Triple Time cards.
