Hi Stamping Friends!
Stampin' Up! demonstrators who earned the July 2020 Incentive Trip to Maui learned this week that the trip has been postponed until next year. While I'm sad to hear this news, I'm happy that the trip was only postponed and not completely cancelled. How many of you have had your spring and summer vacation plans cancelled or put on hold this year? I guess we all just have to be patient and know that we'll have lots to look forward to when this health crisis calms down.
Meanwhile, we can dream of future vacations and enjoy a creative vacation with the lovely Timeless Tropical Bundle and Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper! I featured both on this week's LIVE Class!

Tropical Oasis Off-Set Gate-Fold Cards
The gorgeous tropical floral papers in the Tropical Oasis DSP pack NEEDED to be showcased! I created these two off-set gate-fold cards with the paper for simple, yet spectacular birthday card!
You'll receive supplies to create both of these cards if you earn this week's LIVE Class Kit.
Background Basics—The first card begins with a 4-1/4" x 11" piece of Poppy Parade card base, scored at 3-1/4" and 8-3/4". TIP: Before creasing the fold lines, make sure that your two card fronts meet up flush and square, then use the Bone Folder to crease them in that position.
I decorated the front with Tropical Oasis DSP measuring 3" x 4" and 2" x 4" and adhered with SNAIL adhesive.
Focal Point—I stamped the Timeless Tropical greeting in Shaded Spruce ink onto a 3-3/4" x 2-3/4" piece of Whisper White. Next, I added some leaves from the same stamp set, stamped off in Granny Apple Green. I mounted this layer onto a 3-7/8" x 2-7/8" piece of Shaded Spruce and mounted it to the left front panel with Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Lovely Flowers—I stamped the Timeless Tropical flowers in Poppy Parade ink onto Whisper White cardstock. My ink pad needed re-inked, otherwise I may have stamped-off on the flowers. I colored the flower with the Light Mango Melody Stampin' Blends Marker on the shaded spots and a little Light Pool Party Blends on the tips of the petals to match the flowers in the DSP. I die-cut them with the coordinating In The Tropics dies and popped them up with Dimensionals. I finished by die-cutting some small Poppy Parade flowers and adding them to the flower centers with a Merry Merlot Holiday Rhinestone jewel. I also added a single flower die-cut on the bottom for some balance.
Inside The Card—Don't forget to decorate the inside of your card, even if you don't stamp a sentiment inside! I duplicated the flower from the front onto a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White.
Two Cool—I tried a vertical off-set gate-fold card for the second version. This card starts with a 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Coastal Cabana card base, scored at 2-3/4" and 7". I love the Tropical Oasis DSP pattern on this card! The pieces measure 2-1/2" x 5-1/4" and 1-1/4" x 5-1/4".
Focal Point—The focal point is the same as the previous card with the sentiment and flowers positioned a little differently on the vertical format. I changed the greeting to Soft Suede ink to pull out the brown colors in the paper. The jewels are Mango Melody to match the yellow of the background.
