Jodi's Totally Trees Grateful For You Card
Jodi Geers created this pretty autumn card for our August team swap and it features a couple of fun, new items from the upcoming Holiday Catalog!
Background Basics—Jodi started her card by layering a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Rich Razzleberry card stock onto a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Old Olive. She wrapped some Linen Thread around the layer three times before adhering it onto the Very Vanilla card base.
Sweet Sentiment—Jodi stamped the greeting from the Acorny Thank You set in VersaMark Ink, then heat embossed it with Copper Embossing Powder. I love that copper color on the razzleberry color! So pretty!
NEW Totally Trees—The focal point on Jodi's card is created with the fun new Totally Trees stamp set. The bare tree image is stamped in Early Espresso on the 2-3/4" square of Very Vanilla. Then, she stamped the multicolored leaves over the top by carefully inking just part of the stamp at a time in Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and Cajun Craze inks. You could also get the same effect by coloring on the stamp with markers.
Stamped Scene Details—The grass comes from the same Totally Trees set, and is stamped in Old Olive ink. She also used a splotch image from a retired (sorry, I didn't realize it was still in the catalog!) Perpetual Calendar stamp set to create a Smoky Slate background shadow.
NEW Copper Foil—Jodi matted the stamped layer onto a 3" square of the new Copper Foil! Oh.My.Goodness. How I LOVE the new Copper Foil! It is so gorgeous and elegant for autumn cards! And, wait until you see it with intricate die-cuts! Ahhhhh!
The focal point is popped up with Dimensionals.
Complete Supplies List—"Clear" means a rubber stamp on a clear block. "Photopolymer" is see-thru. Links for NEW items will be available on September 1.

lovely card from Jodi. I do have a big question on the splotchy, you say Perpetual Calendar is retired, I have that set and still see it in the big catalog on page 134 or is it a different Perpetual set?
