Among the branches - jackie swap

#1) Jackie's Among The Branches Autumn Wishes Card

The first swap card was designed by Jackie Baatz and it features the fun fall Among The Branches stamp set!

Among the branches 3 - jackie swap

Stamped Background—The 3-3/4" x 5" Whisper White background is stamped with the cute little leaf images from the Among The Branches set.  They are inked in Old Olive, Elegant Eggplant & Rich Razzleberry and I randomly stamped them across the background so they are floating from the top right to the bottom left.

Background Layers—Next, I added a 1-1/4" x 5" strip of Into The Woods Designer Series Paper on a 1-1/2" x 5" mat of Rich Razzleberry card stock as a coordinated accent.  Then, I mounted the background layer onto a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Old Olive and wrapped some Black Baker's Twine around all the layers before adding it to the Rich Razzleberry card base.

Sweet Sentiment—The Among The Branches circle medallion sentiment was stamped in Old Olive ink and punched with the 2" Circle Punch, then matted onto a 2-1/4" Circle Collections Framelits die-cut and popped up with Dimensionals.  TIP: Since this is a fairly solid photopolymer stamp image, it's best to stamp on a firm, but cushioned surface like a piercing mat for best results.

The medallion is finished with some Rhinestone Jewels accents.

#2) Carmen's Autumn Wreath Baby Wipe Technique Card

Our next card was designed by Carmen DeBruce and features the gorgeous Wondrous Wreath stamp set and the fun Baby Wipe Inking technique!

Background Basics—This card starts with a 4-1/4" x 11" vertically folded Crumb Cake card. I added a 3/4" x 5-1/2" strip of Cajun Craze and 1/4" x 5-1/2" strip of Blackberry Bliss, both embossed with the Boho Chic Texture Impressions Folder, down the side of the card front.

Baby Wipe Inking Technique—I love this technique for creating beautifully blended multicolored images!  You'll have to excuse my horrible execution of this awesome technique.  I didn't take the time to stamp on a Piercing Mat, so my colors didn't transfer very well.  Most of the leaves on my wreath are dotted, instead of being filled in with solid color. The leaves at the top look more like they should…you'll have to use your imagination for the rest!

Creating the color blends is so easy!  Simply fold a couple of baby wipes into fourths and drop several colors of Refill Inks onto the wipes to create your own multicolor ink pad!  Carmen used Old Olive, Cajun Craze, Delightful Dijon and Rich Razzleberry to make the baby wipe ink pad that we all used to make our swap cards.

TIP #1: If you'll be using only one stamp with your custom baby wipe ink pad, stamp the image in a lighter color ink onto the baby wipe first, so you'll know where to add the ink droplets.

TIP #2: You can save your custom baby wipe ink pad for future use if you put it in a sealed container to keep it moist.

Autumn Wreath—After stamping the Wondrous Wreath image onto Whisper White card stock, I used the coordinating Wonderful Wreath Framelits to cut it out.   The image is popped up with Dimensionals, then decorated with Linen Thread and Blackberry Bliss Stitched Satin Ribbon bows.

Bundle It & Save—Purchase the Wondrous Wreath stamp set and Wonderful Wreath Framelits together in a bundle to save 15%!

Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the For All Things greeting in Old Olive ink onto the side of a 3" x 1" strip of Whisper White, then it was punched with the Banner Triple Punch for the fish-tail. Also popped with Dimensionals.

Complete Supplies List—"Clear mount" is a rubber stamp to be used on a clear acrylic block, "Photopolymer" is the see-thru style of stamps, also used with acrylic blocks.
