If you love a good & punny card, the Back On Your Feet stamp set could be right up your alley! I simply adore this Thinking of You card created by Cara Payzant. It's simple, sweet and sure to make the recipient smile!
Background Basics—Cara's card begins by embossing the 4" x 5-1/4" Soft Suede layer with the Layering Leaves 3D embossing folder and mounting it onto a Daffodil Delight card base.
Tied-Up Giraffe—That giraffe, though! Cara stamped the Back On Your Feet image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a 2-1/2" x 3-5/8" piece of Whisper White cardstock. She colored it with Stampin' Blends Markers: Daffodil Delight, Bronze for the spots, Soft Suede for the hooves and Crumb Cake for the shadow. This layer is popped up onto the card front with Dimensionals.
Sweet Sentiment—The coordinating pun is stamped in Soft Suede ink onto a 1" x 1-1/4" piece of Daffodil Delight, then popped up over some pieces of Leaf Ribbon. Have you tried this Leaf Ribbon? I didn't think I needed it until I saw it on this card! These cute leaves are made from paper with a lovely sheen that makes them appear to be ribbon or fabric. Oh, I've got to get me some of those leaves!
Swap card from Jen Rios-Raner.
Jen's Back On Your Feet "Ouch" Card
How adorable is THIS card! Jen Rios-Raner created this card as part of the Greek Isles trip swap and it's a winner! She paired the Back On Your Feet set with the Hand-Lettered Prose dies in a very clever way! Too Cool!
Background Basics—Jen created the foundation for the card by adhering a 5" x 2-1/2" strip of Terracotta Tile cardstock along the bottom of a Shaded Spruce card base.
Fantastic Focal Point—Jen stamped the Back On Your Feet giraffe and sentiment in Early Espresso ink onto a 5-1/4" x 4" Whisper White cardstock layer. Next, she colored in the giraffe with Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody & Soft Suede Stampin' Blends Markers and Terracotta Tile Stampin' Write Markers for the spots. She used the Hand-Lettered Prose dies to die-cut the "ouch!" around the giraffe. Finally, she embossed the layer with the Subtle 3D embossing folder and popped it up with Dimensionals onto the card front.
Finishing Touches—Jen finished by embossing a 1-1/4" x 4" strip of Soft Suede with the Pinewood Planks embossing folder, tearing he edge and adhering it to the left side of the stamped layer. She adhered just a few single leaves from the Leaf Ribbon, floating around the focal point. Cute!
