Hi Stamping Friends!

I'm sure that many of my stamping friends are enjoying a relaxing vacation during this 4th of July week. I'm taking some time off, too, for some much-needed R&R and to spend with my family! I'll be back July 10 with more Too Cool Stamping inspiration!

But first, I thought I'd share one of the many fun swap cards I recently received from some of my stamping friends! I LOVE swapping, because it gives me lots of samples to share with you from stamps & tools that I may not yet have in my collection. I'll share more of my cool swaps when I'm back to work next week!

Monika's Welcome Bike Ride Card

I think this swap card may have been my favorite of the bunch, partly because I've been having so much fun getting back into riding my bike lately. I definitely need a cool basket filled with flowers!

Background Basics—The background is a 5" x 3-3/4" piece of Whisper White, accented with a 1/2" strip of Delightfully Daisy Designer Series Paper. It's wrapped and tied with Linen Thread and popped up with Dimensionals onto a Crumb Cake card base.

Building The Bike—The bike is created with several different layered Bike Ride stamp set images: the frame is stamped with Tranquil Tide, the wheels in Memento Black and the inside wheels with Pool Party. The basket is die-cut with the coordinatine Build A Bike Framelits from Silver Foil, then filled with the flowers outline stamped in Black. The flowers insides are on one stamp, inked with Calypso Coral, and the leaves are another stamp, inked with Tranquil Tide. I love all the easy-to-layer stamped images!

Sweet Sentiment—The Banners For You sentiment is stamped in Black onto a Bunch of Banners die-cut, then accented with more flowers from the Bike Ride set.
