Two projects from our Demo Team Holiday Shoebox Swap on Monday turned out to be eerily similar!
Rita Berning's card featured the Frightening Feline à la carte stamp, stamped in VersaMark ink, embossed in Black Embossing Powder, and topped off with Rhinestone Jewels eyes. Look at those eyes shine…Spooky! I love how she had us use the Howlstooth & Scaringbone chevron design paper to create the fence posts.
Oooh, what a cute way to make bats! We tied knots in the 3/8" Black Taffeta Ribbon and added more Rhinestone Jewels for eyes! The Daffodil Delight moon is punched with the 1-3/4" Circle Punch, covered in VersaMark ink, then embossed in Clear Embossing Powder.
Jodi Geers also designed a Frightening Feline cat sitting on a fence! Can you believe both Rita and Jodi had the same idea…just executed it in a different way! Creepy! We stamped the cat in Black StazOn ink on Glossy White Paper.
We used a 1-3/4" Circle Punch for her moon, too! We punched a sticky note, then used it to mask the moon while we sponged on Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, and Cajun Craze inks. Once we lifted off the mask, we dabbed on a little more Daffodil Delight to soften the stark white moon. This kitty has some Googlies Eyes—you really need to have these eyeballs on hand this Halloween!
Jodi's fence post was made with 3/4" strips of Basic Grey card stock. We stuck the end of the strip into the 1" Square Punch (in through the bottom, out through the side at the corner), to get the fence post points. Sponge the edges of each post with Basic Grey ink to give them more dimension. She even used the same 3/8" Black Taffeta Ribbon here.
