Two Cool Lemon Lime Twist Color Combinations

FREE Gold Faceted Gems With August Host Code: F2K2F6NT

Hi Stamping Friends!

I never anticipated how much I would enjoy Lemon Lime Twist, but it has certainly become my favorite 2017 In Color!  Not only does it look amazing with the other In Colors from this year and last year, but it also pairs well with many other colors from the Stampin' Up! collections.

Today, I'm sharing a couple of pretty Lemon Lime Twist cards from our Too Cool Team shoebox swap last month.

Climbing Orchid Enjoy Today Card

Our first card was designed by Marsha Henry and features the beautiful Climbing Orchid stamp set.  Wow!  What a stunning card!

Background Basics—The 5-1/4" x 4" Lemon Lime Twist background layer is adhered a little askew onto a Tranquil Tide card base.
Marsha Orchid 2
Crackled Foundation—The branch of this flower is stamped in three parts using images from the Climbing Orchid stamp set.  It's stamped in Soft Suede across a 5" x 3" layer of Crushed Curry Color Theory Designer Series Paper.  The greeting is also from Climbing Orchid and also stamped in Soft Suede.  It's adhered, again offset, with SNAIL adhesive.
TIP: It helps to have the orchid pieces already stamped and die-cut to help with the positioning of the branch.
Orchid Flowers—The four outlined orchid images are stamped in Lemon Lime Twist ink onto the same color card stock, then die-cut with the Orchid Builder Framelits. They are popped up with Dimensionals and Mini Dimensionals for the smaller blooms.

Orchid Centers—The two sizes of flower centers are stamped in Crushed Curry onto Crushed Curry card stock, then die-cut with the matching framelits.  They are finished with the detailed dots images in Soft Suede ink, then popped up with more Dimensionals.

Happiest of Birthday Wishes Card

The wispy-stroked images from the Happiest of Days stamp set give this card a light-hearted, whimsical feel.  Peggy Tassler paired the images with Lemon Lime Twist and Soft Sky colors for a sweet & charming card!

Peggy Happiest Bday 2
Background Basics—The 5" x 3-3/4" Whisper White layer is embossed with the Layering Leaves Dynamic Texture Impressions Folder, then layered that onto a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Soft Sky before mounting it onto a Lemon Lime Twist card base.  Next, a 5" x 1-1/4" strip of the Lemon Lime Twist Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper is layered onto a 5" x 1-1/2" Soft Sky mat and adhered to the card front, too.
Peggy Happiest Bday 4
Sweet Sentiment—The Happiest of Days greeting is stamped in Memento Black Ink onto a Whisper White oval die-cut with the Layering Ovals Framelits.  It's also stamped with little leaf branches and a rose from the same set.  The leaves were colored in with a Lemon Lime Twist marker.  The rose was stamped again on scrap Whisper White, then colored with Lemon Lime Twist & Soft Sky markers.  It was hand-cut with super-sharp Paper Snips, then popped up with a Mini Dimensional.  The oval was layered onto a Soft Sky scallop oval, also die-cut from the Layering Ovals dies, then popped up with Dimensionals.
Peggy Happiest Bday 3
Birthday Cake—The Happiest of Days cake image was stamped in Memento Black Ink onto scrap Whisper White.  It was colored with the Lemon Lime Twist and Soft Sky markers, the hand-cut and popped up with more Dimensionals.  It's finished with a Clear Faceted Gem for a little sparkle!
