I had my first craft fair of the season over the weekend—oh what fun! Thank you to everyone who stopped by to shop or just say "hi." Jodi's Colorful Seasons Leaves Thank You Card

Last week, our Too Cool Team had our monthly swap and the theme was to use two patterns of Designer Series Papers on a card. It was to celebrate our current Buy 3, Get 1 FREE DSP promotion that's happening until October 31, 2017. Jodi Geers used the pretty papers from the Painted Autumn and Coffee Break DSP packs for her beautiful swap card. Let's take a look at the details…

Background Basics—Jodi's card starts with some Fresh Fig colored stamped textures from the Touches of Texture and Timeless Textures stamp set onto a Very Vanilla card base. She added a 2" x 5-1/2" panel of Painted Autumn DSP along the left-hand side.

Jodi - Painted Autumn Colorful Seasons Leaves 2

Lovely Leaves—I love all of the patterns and textures of the leaves on Jodi's card. First, she stamped the Colorful Seasons leaf outline image in Archival Black onto some striped Coffee Break DSP two times. After die-cutting them with the Seasonal Layers Thinlits, she popped them up with Dimensionals. Then, Jodi die-cut a Copper Foil leaf outline with the same thinlits, adhering that to the card front with Multipurpose Glue. Finally, she die-cut the small Gold Glimmer Paper leaves with the same dies and popped them up with more Dimensionals to fill in the gaps. So pretty!

Sweet Sentiment—Jodi stamped the All Things Thanks greeting in Fresh Fig onto Very Vanilla card stock, then punched it out using the Duet Banner Punch. She punched a second Copper Foil Shape with the same punch, then popped up both with Dimensionals.

Rita's Painted Autumn Panels Birthday Card

Rita Berning participated in our team swap with a card featuring the Painted Autumn and Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Papers. I love how beautifully many of the different patterns from different packs work together. Stampin' Up! is all about versatility and coordination!

Background Panels—Rita began her card by cutting three 1-1/4" x 5-1/4" strips: one from the Painted Autumn pack and one from the Whole Lot of Lovely pack. If you look closely, you can see that she texture embossed the DSP with the Layered Leaves Dynamic Embossing Folder, then she adhered them to a 4" x 5-1/4" Early Espresso mat.

Sentiment Panel—For the focal point, Rita stamped the Rose Wonder greeting in Early Espresso ink onto a 4" x 1-3/4" piece of Very Vanilla card stock. She also stamped the Timeless Textures flourish next to the sentiment in Early Espresso. It's matted onto a 4" x 2" layer of Early Espresso.

Rita added some layers under that, too: Very Vanilla measuring 4" x 2-1/4" and Early Espresso measuring 4" x 2-1/2". Once all the layers were adhered with SNAIL to the DSP card front, she tied several individual strands of Burlap Ribbon around the layers and tied into a knot. The entire card front is mounted onto a Tangerine Tango, 4-1/4" x 11", vertically folded card base. What a fun way to feature those lovely papers!
