I created this card for a recent swap and features several items from the Come Sail Away suite.
Background Basics—I started by stamping the Sailing Home anchor image in Night of Navy ink all over the front of a 4-1/4" x 11" vertically-folded Night of Navy card base. Next, I adhered a 1-1/2" striped pattern from from the Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper down the left side and a 4-1/4" x 1" newsprint pattern from the same pack across the lower half. I wrapped some Sahara Sand/Night of Navy Baker's Twine around the card front and tied it into a knot, hiding the knot behind the focal point.
Sailboat Focal Point—I die-cut a Whisper White 2-3/8" wide oval with the Layering Ovals dies, then stamped the Sailing Home small sailboat in Sahara Sand on the top right of it. I also stamped the larger sailboat in Night of Navy both onto the oval and onto a scrap Whisper White piece. I die-cut that sailboat with the coordinating Smooth Sailing dies and popped up the image with Mini Dimensionals. I mounted the oval onto the card front with Dimensionals.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped a Sailing Home sentiment in Night of Navy onto a Balmy Blue label that was die-cut with the Smooth Sailing dies. It's popped up onto the card front with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—To finish the nautical theme, I attached a Sail Away Trinkets anchor to the oval with a Glue Dot. Rather than tying the twine through the trinket, I simply tied a knot in it, frayed the ends and attached it with another Glue Dot.
Here's another quick & easy collage card featuring more of the beautiful Come Sail Away DSP!
Background Basics—This card starts with a sturdy Whisper White Thick card base covered with a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of square knot pattern from the DSP. A 1-1/2" x 5-1/2" strip of the newsprint pattern was torn along the edge and adhered along the left side.
Collage Foundation—The focal point starts with a 1-3/4" x 1-3/4" Night of Navy circle, cut with the Layering Circles dies, adhered with SNAIL. Next, the Crumb Cake steering wheel was die-cut with the Smooth Sailing dies and adhered with Glue Dots.
Sweet Sentiment—The Sailing Home sentiment was stamped in Night of Navy ink onto Whisper White cardstock and punched with the Story Label Punch. The Baker's Twine was looped and adhered behind the sentiment with SNAIL, then popped up with Dimensionals. Finally, the large sailboat was stamped in Night of Navy, die-cut with the Smooth Sailing dies and popped up, as well.
