Janet - patriotic card

1) Janet's Confetti Stars & Stripes Celebrate Card

Janet Shinn shared a quick & easy patriotic card that was fun & different than I've seen before!

Background BasicsShe used the Confetti Stars Border Punch to create three decorative 1-1/4" x 4" strips in Real Red, Whisper White & Night of Navy.  She adhered the strips to a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" layer of Crumb Cake card stock with a Fine-Tip Glue Pen, then tied the layer with some Linen Thread before adhering it to a Crumb Cake card base.

Sweet Sentiment—Janet curved the Endless Birthday Wishes photopolymer word a little as she attached it to the acrylic block to get that rounded shape, then stamped it in Night of Navy ink onto Whisper White card stock.  It's punched with the Duet Banner Punch and accented with a Rhinestone Jewel.

Complete Supplies List—"Clear" means a rubber stamp on a clear block. "Photopolymer" is see-thru.

Peggy's patriotic card

2) Peggy's Layered Stars & Stripes Celebrate Card

Peggy Tassler's patriotic card is also quick & easy with the help of the Stars Framelits.

Background BasicsShe started with a Night of Navy card base, layered with a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Whisper White card stock.  Her stripes are represented with three 1/4" wide strips of Real Red card stock, about 4-1/8" long.

Layered Stars—Peggy die-cut three sizes of stars with the Stars Framelits in Silver Glimmer Paper, Night of Navy and Real Red card stock, and created a collage for the focal point.  It's accented with a Rhinestone Jewel.

Finishing Touches—Peggy finished the card with one more Real Red star at the top, along with a trio of Rhinestone accents.  The sentiment is stamped in Real Red.

Complete Supplies List—"Clear" means a rubber stamp on a clear block. "Photopolymer" is see-thru.

  1. Both are beautiful. I am using them to send to a Blue Star mom group (moms of enlisted military personnel) for birthday cards to their children who are Army, Marines, Navy, Coast Guard, Air Force, National Guard. Thank you for posting–these are beautiful cards and perfect for what I am using them for.
