Autumn Leaves Matchbook Treat Holder
I created this fun little matchbook-style treat holder for my Too Cool Stampers Team event last month. It was so easy & quick to create, too!
Matchbook Basics
I started with a 2-3/4″ x 8-1/2″ piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock, scored at the 3-1/2″, 4″ and 7-3/4″. I love that I could get four matchbooks from just one sheet of cardstock!
I folded on the score lines, then used a mini stapler to staple the bottom fold, just like a book of matches. I had the smooth side of the staple showing on the backside and covered the “feet” of the staple on the front with a 2-3/4″ x 1/2″ piece of Pretty Peacock patterned All About Autumn DSP.
Background Basics
I adhered a 2-1/4″ x 3″ piece of All About Autumn DSP to a 2-3/8″ x 3-1/8″ piece of Pecan Pie cardstock. I added a strip of Pecan Pie Bordered Ribbon across the bottom of the layers, securing the ends onto the back, then popped them up onto the matchbook front with Dimensionals.
Focal Point
I stamped an Autumn Leaves sentiment in Pretty Peacock onto a Very Vanilla Autumn Leaves label die-cut and popped it up. Next, I die-cut a Pecan Pie maple leaf and a Pretty Peacock small oak leaf. I added the oak leaf with SEAL and the maple leaf with more Dimensionals. I finished with a couple of champagne Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems…which look fantastic with Pecan Pie or goal accents!
Inside The Matchbook
I tucked a fun-size pack of M&Ms candies inside…perfect and yummy!
Autumn Leaves Thankful Circle Card
Carol Nordquist created this gorgeous Autumn Leaves card and just had to share it with you.
Background Basics
Carol started by die-cutting a large Stylish Shapes circle from a 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, then embossing it with the Painted Textures Embossing Folder. She carefully layered a 3″ x 3″ piece of realistic leaves All About Autumn DSP behind the circle and mounted it onto a Copper Clay card base.
Focal Point
Carol die-cut three Autumn Leaves shapes from two pieces of All About Autumn DSP and one pattern of Oxidized Copper Specialty Paper. Two leaves are adhered with SEAL Adhesive and the center oak leaf is popped up.
Sweet Sentiment
Carol stamped the Autumn Leaves sentiment in VersaMark ink onto Very Vanilla die-cut and embossed it with copper powder from the Metallics Embossing Powders pack. It’s popped up, too! So elegant!
