#1 Woodland Brayered Vellum Silent Night Card
Kathe Madsen created a beautiful vellum overlay for this glittery, winter night card!
Background Basics—The 4" x 5-1/4" background of the card is a lovely sponged & masked sky. Kathe punched out a 1-1/2" Circle from a sticky note to use as a mask for the moon, then sponged on Soft Sky and Marina Mist. She then reversed the mask to create a 1-1/2" hole over the moon and sponged on Crushed Curry and a tad of Cajun Craze. She added a torn layer of Whisper White at the bottom to make a snowy hill, and adhered the whole layer onto a Marina Mist card base.
Overlay Basics—She embossed the 4" x 5-1/4" Vellum card stock with the Woodland Embossing Folder—you heard that it's no longer retired, right?! Then she lightly brayered some Crumb Cake ink over the trees to bring them to life. If you look closely, you can see all of the sparkly Dazzling Details snow that Kathe added over the branches with a 2-Way Glue Pen. The overlay is attached with Glue Dots in the corner.
Sweet Sentiment—The Wonderland greeting is stamped in Marina Mist on a 2" x 1/2" piece of Whisper White, fishtailed on one end and popped up with Dimensionals.
Inside Details—Kathe finished the Wonderland sentiment inside the card with Marina Mist ink.
#1 Complete Supplies List—"Clear" means a rubber stamp on a clear block. "Photopolymer" is see-thru.

#2 All Ye Faithful Fancy Gate-Fold Card
Darla Eigenschink shared this glorious, fancy gate-fold All Ye Faithful card.
Gate-Fold Basics—This card starts with a 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" Whisper White card base that's scored along the 8-1/2' side at the 2-3/4" and 7" marks to make the gate fold. Darla punched the corners with the Curvy Corners Trio Punch, then ran the folded card through the Big Shot with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder. TIP: Since you're putting through two layers of card stock, you'll want to open up both tabs on the Multipurpose Platform.
Belly Band & Sentiment—To keep the gate closed, Darla created a belly band with a 1" x 10-1/4" piece of Night of Navy card stock. She embossed it with the Zig Zag Embossing Folder for some texture. She also added a second 3-3/4" wide Whisper White band layer, where she stamped the All Ye Faithful sentiment.
Wise Men Focal Point—Darla stamped the All Ye Faithful wise men stamp in Night of Navy onto Whisper White, then die-cut it with the 2-3/4" Circle Collection Framelit. She layered a Silver Glimmer circle of the same size behind it and added some Silver Cording Trim. The focal point is popped up with Dimensionals and slightly overlaps the gate fold opening.
Inside Details—Darla Silver embossed the All Ye Faithful sentiment and image onto a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Night of Navy card stock.
#2 Complete Supplies List—"Clear" means a rubber stamp on a clear block. "Photopolymer" is see-thru.
- Stamps—All Ye Faithful (clear, wood)
- Ink—VersaMark; Night of Navy Classic Ink Pads
- Paper—Silver Glimmer Paper; Night of Navy & Whisper White card stock
- Accessories—Silver Cording Trim, Silver Embossing Powder
- Tools—Circle Collection Framelits, Big Shot, Softly Falling Texture Impressions Folder, Zig Zag Texture Impressions Folder, Curvy Corners Trio Punch, Heat Tool, Dimensionals, SNAIL
Thanks so much to Kathe & Darla for sharing their projects!
Until next time!
Angie
