Autumn Leaves Grateful Heart Card
I received this beautiful Autumn Leaves swap card from Amy Storrie! I love the use of the All About Autumn DSP in “dancing” blocks for a fun background. Remember, if you aren’t able to get the All About Autumn DSP, this is a fantastic layout for any other fall-themed decorative paper you may have on hand.
Inventory Update: All About Autumn DSP is expected back in stock around October 9. Copper & Natural Ribbon around October 23. Speckled Dots around November 13.
Background Basics
Amy started her card by embossing a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Copper Clay cardstock with the Distressed Tile Embossing Folder. She added two patterns of 2″ x 2″ All About Autumn DSP onto the embossed piece. Then, she layered a 4″ x 1″ piece of All About Autumn DSP across the center and mounted the background onto a Copper Clay card base.
Focal Point
Amy stamped the large Autumn Leaves maple leaf in Moody Mauve ink, then added the vein image over the top in Copper Clay ink. She also stamped a smaller oak leaf in Copper Clay with the vein image in the same ink. She die-cut those with the coordinating Autumn Leaves Dies. The oak leaf is adhered with SEAL and the maple leaf is popped up with Dimensionals.
Next, she die-cut a small maple leaf using the Pecan Pie pattern of Oxidized Copper Specialty Paper. It’s adhered with SEAL over the first maple leaf.
Finishing Touches
Amy stamped the Autumn Leaves sentiment in Copper Clay ink onto a Very Vanilla Autumn Leaves die-cut label. It’s popped up.
She finished with a small Copper Ribbon bow, attached with a Glue Dot, and a single Moody Mauve Speckled Dot. If you do not have these items, try a Linen Thread double-bow and some Neutrals Sequins or Brushed Metallic Dots. Lovely!
Autumn Leaves Give Thanks Card
This card, created by Natalie Travis, also has a fun “dancing” DSP background layout, combined with the same embossing and falling leaves.
Background Basics
Natalie embossed a 5″ x 3-3/4″ piece of Pecan Pie cardstock with the Distressed Tile Embossing Folder and layered it onto a 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Pretty Peacock. It’s mounted onto a Thick Very Vanilla card base. She added three patterns of 1-1/2″ x 3″ All About Autumn DSP to the background for another fun look!
Focal Point
Natalie stamped a Pretty Peacock sentiment from the Courage & Faith stamp set from the Annual Catalog onto Very Vanilla cardstock, then punched it with the Modern Oval Punch. It’s popped up with Dimensionals.
Next, she adorned the label with a Cajun Craze maple leaf and Pretty Peacock oak leaf from the Autumn Leaves Dies. She finished with a few gold Neutrals Sequins. So pretty!
