Fitting Florets Merry Little Christmas Easel Card Marcie Besecker created this spectacular Fitting Florets swap card with awesome details and a fun easel-style display fold! Ooooh, so gorgeous! The card will lay flat to mail, but has a kickstand feature, so it can be displayed popped up, too! Love it!
Background Basics—The base of the card begins with a 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" piece of Evening Evergreen that's scored at the 4-1/4" mark. Next, Marcie made a cut along the 5-1/2" side at the 1-1/4" down to the score line. The other flap was scored across the half-way mark at 2-1/8" point.
That short flap was adhered closed, then decorated with a 1" x 3-7/8" piece of Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper layered onto a 1-1/8" x 4" piece of Soft Succulent cardstock. Notice that she colored the berries on the DSP with Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends Markers. Next, she layered a 3-3/4" x 3-3/4" piece of Basic White onto a 4" x 4" piece of Soft Succulent to mount on the inside of the card.
Kick Stand—Marcie layered a 3-3/4" x 1-3/4" piece of Fitting Florets DSP onto a 4" x 1-7/8" piece of Soft Succulent and mounted it to the bottom of the inside area. The berries are colored on this part, too. She stamped the Framed Florets image in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Basic White cardstock and colored it in with Real Red, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen Stampin' Blends Markers. She finished the flowers with gold Festive Pearls in the centers. Wow! When the card is open, this element is a stopper so the card front can be on display.
Focal Point Foundation—Marcie pulled out all the stops for the card front decoration! She started by embossing a 3-1/4" x 3-3/4" piece of Basic White with the Wintry pine pattern, then mounted it onto a 4" x 4" piece of Soft Succulent. That was mounted onto the bottom panel of the card front to make the easel. Be sure to use a secure adhesive like Liquid Multipurpose Glue or SEAL+.
Focal Point Oval—Next, Marcie stamped a Framed & Festive sentiment in Evening Evergreen ink onto a Basic White Framed Florets oval. She also die-cut a Real Red striped oval frame from the same dies and popped up both with Dimensionals.
Fancy Focal Point Details—Marcie die-cut all kinds of fun elements, including two Evening Evergreen and two Gold Glimmer branches, as well as two Gold Glimmer leaves. Those were added around the oval , with some tucked under it, using Liquid Multipurpose Glue. She finished with more Festive Pearls in Cherry Cobbler on the branches to look like berries.
But that's not all…no! She added a multi-loop Gold & Vanilla Satin-Edged Ribbon bow two Gold Swirl gems. Wowzers! Truly a keepsake card!
Ready To Mail—The card is shown flat here, but there is so much embellishment goodness, you would be best to hand-deliver this one, or pay a little more for a thicker envelope. #worthit

Fitting Florets Diagonal Joy-Fold Card
Cindy Westerink created another lovely layered card with all kinds of sweet details! Check it out!
Background Basics—Cindy began with a 11" x 4-1/4" piece of Balmy Blue cardstock, scored down the center at the 5-1/2" mark. Next, she trimmed diagonally from the bottom outer corner to the top corner at the score line to make a cool diagonal flap. She decorated that flap with a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Fitting Florets DSP cut diagonally and layered onto a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White cardstock, also cut diagonally.
Inside The Card—To complete the inside, she layered a 5" x 3-3/4" piece of coordinating DSP onto a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Basic White and mounted it onto the inside of the card. Cindy created the second part of the card base with a 8" x 3" piece of Balmy Blue, scored at the 4" mark. Before adhering it to the center of the card, she embossed the front flap with the Stripes & Splatters striped embossing Folder. She stamped a single Framed Florets flower in Balmy Blue on the corner of a 3-3/4" x 2-3/4" piece of Basic White and adhered that to the inside. The diagonal flap will fold in first; then the smaller embossed flap on the right with close over that. Sweet!
Sentiment Oval—Cindy stamped the Framed Florets sentiment in Evening Evergreen onto a Basic White Framed Florets oval die-cut label, then stamped the floral image in stamped-off Balmy Blue over the top of that. After adhering a Basic White die-cut striped oval frame to the flap, she popped up the sentiment oval with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—Cindy die-cut an Evening Evergreen branch and two Soft Succulent leaves and tucked them under the oval. She finished by adding a few Iridescent Pearls around the sentiment. Simply spectacular!
