Trick or Tweet Scare Up A Little Fun Card

What a fun suite of products!  The items in the Toil & Trouble suite are perfect for spooky cards & treats for Halloween!  Marisa Alvarez shared this cute little swap card using lots of these coordinating products.

Background Basics—Marisa started by embossing a Granny Apple Green card front with the Softly Falling Texture Impressions Folder.  Next, she created a focal point foundation by overlapping a 1-1/2" x 3" piece of striped Toil & Trouble DSP and a 3" x 3" frog pattern from the same pack.  Aren't those little frogs adorable?!

Focal Point—She stamped the Trick or Tweet dog image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a Whisper White 2-3/8" Stitched Shapes circle.  Marisa colored the image with Stampin' Blends Markers in Highland Heather, Granny Apple Green and Soft Suede.  The circle is layered onto a Basic Black scalloped circle die-cut with the Layering Circles Framelits. It's adhered with SNAIL to the card front.

Sweet Sentiment—She stamped the Trick or Tweet sentiment in Memento Black and punched it out with a 1-1/4" Circle Punch.  It's layered on another black scallop circle.  Before popping up this element, Marisa added some loops of Black Metallic Thread to the back.

Bitty Bats—Marisa added a couple of black bats, punched with the Spooky Bats Punch, flying around the focal point…so cute!

Cauldron Buble Cute Witch Card

I adore this fancy fold Halloween swap card created by Kim Williams!  I'm not sure if I've seen this kind of card opening before!  Check it out!

Card Fold Basics—Kim's fancy fold card begins with two pieces of Gorgeous Grape cardstock: 7-1/2" x 5-1/2" (scored at 4-1/4") and 7" x 2-1/2" (scored at 3-1/2").  She adhered the smaller piece with Tear & Tape Adhesive to the larger panel of the card front.  The fold of the small piece is NOT flush with the outer edge; it's right outside the 5-1/4" x 4" Granny Apple Green inside card layer.  She stamped a Cauldron Bubble sentiment on the top of that inside sheet, so that it would peek out of the top when the card front is closed.

Background Basics—The front of the card is covered with a 5-1/4" x 3" piece of Toil & Trouble DSP.

Wicked-Cute Witch—Kim stamped the Cauldron Bubble witch in Memento Black ink onto a 2-1/4" x 3-1/4" piece of Whisper White, then colored it in with Stampin' Blends Markers in Gorgeous Grape, Granny Apple Green, Basic Black, Petal Pink and Pumpkin Pie. She did an awesome job of shading with those Blends…just look at those adorable striped stockings!  It's adhered to the front of the small card base panel.  A Black Foil Spooky Bat Punch shape was attached to the top.

Finishing Touches—The final element on this card is actually the card closure feature.  The 2-1/4" circle punched from Granny Apple Green cardstock is popped up with Dimensionals, so that the front flap can be tucked under the side to secure the card closed. How clever!  She decorated it with a cauldron image die-cut with the Cauldron Framelits from the Toil & Trouble DSP.  There's another Black Foil bat attached with Dimensionals flying around the cauldron, too.  I love this card so much!  What about you?
