I'm loving the gorgeous new Christmastime is Here suite…have you seen it yet? It's only here while supplies last!
During last week's LIVE Class on Facebook, I demonstrated a couple of cards with this elegant and festive collection of products. Today, I have the details on one of those card designs and, with the help of beautiful Designer Series Paper and coordinating dies, it comes together SO quickly!
Don't forget! When you order the full Christmastime is Here Suite Bundle, I send you a 12-Card Kit to kick-start your creativity! All the details are below!
My favorite part of the new Christmastime Is Here suite most certainly is the gorgeous papers! I love the Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow and Early Espresso colors with elegant gold accents! And the Christmas rose is so beautiful! You can watch this project in action from my LIVE Class video replay posted below.
Background Basics—I started with a Cherry Cobbler card base, cut to 5-1/2" x 10" and scored at the 4-1/4" mark. This gives a shortened card front, so the inside can be decorated to peek through to the front. I added a 3" x 5-1/4" piece of the Christmastime Is Here DSP to the front card flap. Next, I used the Roses dies to cut out the pretty little border from Gold Foil. It's adhered with a little bit of Multipurpose Glue.
Fabulous Focal Point—The focal point of the card is so easy! I simply used the Roses dies to cut out an image from one of the DSP sheets! Instant focal point with all the coloring and gold accents ready to go! Wheeeeee! It's popped up onto the card front with Dimensionals.
Sweet Sentiment—I die-cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock with another one of the Roses label dies, then stamped a sentiment from the Christmas Rose stamp set in Mossy Meadow. It's also popped up at the bottom of the card front.
Finishing Touches—No suite would be complete without some awesome accents and I love the Gold Glitter Enamel Dots! I added a couple around the sentiment and a larger one up near the focal point. They are like little golden dew drops!
Inside The Card—I added a 1" x 5-1/4" piece of coordinating Christmastime is Here DSP down the side of a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock. Next, I stamped a sentiment in Cherry Cobbler ink, then mounted the layer onto the card with SNAIL.
Two Cool—I created a second version by just changing the card base to Mossy Meadow and switching out to some different DSP patterns.
Lightweight, portable and perfect for making accurate, straight cuts with ease! The NEW Paper Trimmer is here! I'm loving this new trimmer because it the beveled, larger blade simply cuts much better and more accurately! It comes with one cutting blade and one scoring blade. #152392 for $25.
