Hi Stamping Friends!

Many times, we're so busy playing with the stamps and thinlits from the big product suites in the catalog that it's easy to overlook some of the individual stamp sets in the book. There are lots of adorable stamp sets that are perfect for coloring and one that has recently caught my eye is the Friendship's Sweetest Thoughts set. Today, I'm sharing two delightful cards created with this pretty springtime set!

Friendships Blossom In The Heart Card

I received this cheerful card from Karen Ellert-Flory in our Too Cool Team swap this month and thought it was so sweet!

Spring Blossoms—Karen stamped the Friendship's Sweetest Thoughts card and flower stand images in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a 5" x 4" Whisper White cardstock layer. There is a lot of detailed coloring on this card, and Karen chose to do hers with Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen. It's a great choice for controlling the color in small, detailed areas.

Background Basics—Once everything was colored, the layer was adhered to a 5-1/4" x 4-1/8" piece of Fresh Fig, then mounted onto a Crumb Cake card base.

Awesome Accents—She added some Wink of Stella glimmer to the canopy of the cart and the flower stand, then topped the flowers with Rhinestone Jewels for some extra sparkle.

Sweet Sentiment—Karen stamped the sentiment in Fresh Fig onto a 2" square of Whisper White, then matted it onto a 2-1/8" square of Fresh Fig cardstock and adhered it to the card front. She finished with a few sequins from the Sequin Assortment pack.

Poppin' Blooms Friendship's Sweetest Thoughts Card

I received this card in another swap and it was created by Betsy Crider. Her awesome little hand-cut and popped up blooms are simply darling!

Blended Blooms—Betsy stamped the Friendship's Sweetest Thoughts flower cart in Memento Tuxedo Black onto a 3" x 3-1/2" piece of Very Vanilla. It looks like she colored her image with Stampin' Blends Markers. The image is done in two layers: the first layer has flowers in Daffodil Delight and Old Olive, the cart in Crumb Cake & Pumpkin Pie and the shadow in Smoky Slate.

Popped Up Pretties—Betsy stamped the image a second time on Very Vanilla scrap and colored in the cart canopy in Pumpkin Pie and Pool Party, fussy-cutting it with super-sharp Paper Snips and popping it up with Dimensionals. She also colored in all the flowers with Calypso Coral and Pool Party (or maybe the light Bermuda Bay). She cut out those tiny flowers and popped them up with Mini Dimensionals to fill in the flowers to overflowing! She topped each of the flowers with some Wink of Stella Shimmer, too! Wow! What detail!

Sweet Sentiment—Betsy stamped a sentiment from the Sale-a-Bration stamp set Beautiful Peacock next to the cart, then another greeting from the same set onto a 2-1/8" x 1/2" strip of Very Vanilla.

Background Basics—The focal point was adhered to a 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" piece of Calypso Coral. She wrapped some Calypso Coral and Bermuda Bay ribbon from the Sale-a-Bration Shimmer Ribbon Pack around the bottom, securing the ends on the back, then popped up the sentiment with Dimensionals. The whole piece was mounted onto an Early Expresso card base.
