Darla Eigenschink created this pretty butterfly card with a beautiful floral background. It's so simple & elegant at the same time!
Background Layers—Darla started by stamping the Butterfly Gala sentiment in Blueberry Bushel ink onto the lower right corner of a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White cardstock. Next, she texture embossed the layer with the Subtle 3D embossing folder and mounted it onto a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" layer of Blueberry Bushel cardstock. That layer is popped up with Dimensionals onto a Whisper White card base.
Floral Details—Darla cut part of a laser-cut Delightfully Detailed Specialty Designer Series Paper and attached it to the background with dabs of Fine Tip Glue Pen adhesive. I love the white pattern on a white background! It gives just the right amount of pattern without over-powering the focal point.
Butterfly Trio—Next, Darla stamped the three Butterfly Gala butterfly images in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Whisper White cardstock. Looks like she colored them by sponging on some Blueberry Bushel ink onto the outer wings and Lemon Lime Twist ink onto the inner wings using Sponge Daubers. She stamped the bodies in Memento Black ink, then punched them out with the Butterfly Duet Punch and attached them to the card with Dimensionals.
I'm totally going to CASE this one! Thanks for sharing this card, Darla!

Amy's You're Inspiring Side Flap Fold Card
The daffodils are blooming in my yard right now, so Amy VanHuisen's card fits the season perfectly! I also love her fun-fold on this spring card!
Background Basics—Amy's card begins with a traditional size Daffodil Delight card base. She layered 2-5/8" x 4" piece of Daffodil Delight Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper onto a Lemon Lime Twist layer die-cut with the Rectangle Stitched Framelits and mounted it to the card front. She added another Lemon Lime Twist square shape die-cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits, too.
Side Flap Fold—To create the fun side fold, Amy scored a 6-1/2" x 1-1/2" strip of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock at the 4-5/16" mark. The strip is adhered on the back of the card, so that the shot flap folds around to the card front. I recommend using Tear & Tape Adhesive for this piece for a secure hold.
Daffodil Focal Point—Amy die-cut a 1-7/8" diameter Whisper White circle with the Stitched Shapes Framelits. She stamped the You're Inspired daffodils in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored the flowers with Stampin' Blends Markers in Daffodil Delight & Calypso Coral and the leaves with the Lemon Lime Twist Stampin' Write Marker. She also lightly added some Light Pool Party Stampin' Blends color around the blooms. She finished with a little Wink of Stella on the flowers. The circle is adhered to the end of the the side flap.
She decorated the front with a few Rhinestone Jewels and added a Lemon Lime Twist Ombré Ribbon bow, too!
Inside the Flap—Next, Amy added another circle die-cut onto the center of the square, stamped with a You're Inspiring sentiment and colored with Pool Party and Daffodil Delight Blends. She added a third circle behind the front circle to cover the end of that flap.
She colored these smaller daffodils with the same colors and added Wink of Stella to those, as well. I'm loving that light wash of Pool Party behind the flowers!
Oh my goodness! I really need to try this cute side flap fold style! What about you? Thanks for sharing your lovely card, Amy!
