Adventurous Sky Flying By To Say Hi Card
The stamp images in the Adventurous Sky set are perfect for creating a little sky scene! From cool planes to clouds and farmland, combine the elements for a fun and uplifting card!
Background Basics
I started by adhering a 4″ x 3″ piece of Take To The Sky Designer Series Paper to a Mossy Meadow card base. Next, I stamped some Boho Blue Adventurous Sky clouds onto a 3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″ piece of Basic White. I matted that piece onto a 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″ piece of Night of Navy cardstock.
I stamped the Adventurous Sky “farmland” image in Mossy Meadow ink onto a 3-1/4″ x 1″ piece of Basic Beige cardstock, covering the entire piece with the image, and adhered it to the bottom of the white layer. I finished by tying some Basic Beige Bordered Ribbon around the layers and mounting it onto the card front with SEAL Adhesive.
Awesome Airplane
I stamped the Adventurous Sky large plane image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Basic White, then colored it with Stampin’ Blends Markers in Copper Clay and Night of Navy, with Smoky Slate wheels. It’s die-cut with the coordinating Adventurous Sky Dies and popped up with Dimensionals.
Sentiment
I stamped the Adventurous Sky sentiment in Copper Clay ink onto Basic White, die-cut it with the small banner in the Stylish Shapes Dies, trimmed off the end and popped it up with Dimensionals flush to the edge.
Finishing Touches
There are lots of embellishments that work well with this collection. I chose the Iridescent Foil Gems for this project because I really like the gold flecks in the gems. They pick up the warm tones from the Copper Clay colors. Perfect!
Adventurous Sky Happy Birthday Card
Here’s another sky scene card, this one utilizing die-cuts and DSP on a fun-fold.
Basic Background
I started with a 8-3/4″ x 4-1/4″ piece of Copper Clay cardstock, scored at the 5-1/2″ mark. I decorated the front panel with a 3″ x 4″ piece of Take To The Sky DSP. I also added a 2″ x 4″ piece, in a different Take To The Sky pattern, on the inside right edge of the card.
Next, I adhered a 3-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ piece of Take To The Sky DSP to a 3-5/8″ x 2-5/8″ piece of Copper Clay cardstock and popped it up with Dimensionals onto the front card panel.
Focal Point
I die-cut two sizes of Basic White clouds using the Adventurous Sky Dies. I stamped an Adventurous Sky sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink onto the larger cloud, then adhered both clouds to card front with SEAL Adhesive.
Cool Planes
I stamped the medium and small sizes of Adventurous Sky planes in Memento Black onto Basic White cardstock. Both are colored with Copper Clay, Night of Navy and Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends. Both aircraft are die-cut and popped up with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches
I tied some Gray Granite Baker’s Twine from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack around the card front into a double-knot. I finished with a few copper colored Neutral Sequins.
Inside The Card
I stamped an Adventurous Sky sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink onto a 3-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ piece of Basic White and mounted it onto the inside. Perfect!
