The Lighter Than Air Suite is sure to lift your spirits! This delightful card features the Hot Air Balloon Bundle, Lighter Than Air Designer Series Paper, coordinating Baker’s Twine 3-Pack and pretty Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots. It’s was so fun to play with this cheerful collection!

I started with a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ Balmy Blue card base, scored at the 4-1/4″ mark. I adhered a 11/4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of the Lighter Than Air DSP down the left side of the card front.

I die-cut a Basic White Thoughtful Expressions label for the focal point foundation and stamped a Hot Air Balloon sentiment on the bottom of it in Balmy Blue. I tied some Lemon Lolly Baker’s Twine around the layer into a bow and mounted it onto the card front with SEAL Adhesive.

Next, I die-cut the two different Hot Air Balloon cloud shapes and attached them at the top of the card.

Between the stamping and die-cutting, there are lots of options for creating a balloon with this bundle! I liked the look of the stamped balloon best. I stamped the two-part balloon shape in Fresh Freesia onto Basic White first, then added the center image of the balloon over the top in Balmy Blue. I die-cut that piece with the Hot Air Balloon Dies, as well as a little Fresh Freesia hot air balloon basket. I found that I liked stamping the basket on after it was die-cut. I popped both pieces up with Dimensionals onto the label so it looks like the balloon is just floating away!

I finished with a couple of Fresh Freesia Rainbow Dots near the corner. Oooh…I just love the Rainbow Dots pack! There are 8 different springtime colors with 10 large and 10 small dots. It’s a lovely selection that works with so many projects!

I’m a big fan of anything that is recessed on a card, so I adore this card created by Melissa Davies. What a fun springtime birthday card!

Melissa started with a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Tahitian Tide cardstock. First, she stamped the sentiment from the Hot Air Balloon stamp set several times across the lower middle of the background with the same Tahitian Tide color. Next, she used the two different Hot Air Balloon Dies cloud dies to cut out the cloud shapes at the top. She popped up the whole thing with LOTS of Dimensionals onto the Coastal Cabana card base.

Melissa stamped the two-part Hot Air Balloon image in Tahitian Tide ink onto Basic White, then die-cut it and popped it up with more Dimensionals. Next, she die-cut a Coastal Cabana Hot Air Balloon piece that has the strings and basket. She adhered that to the balloon with tiny dabs of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Melissa die-cut a Coastal Cabana banner shape and stamped a Hot Air Balloon birthday greeting on top with Tahitian Tide ink. It’s popped up with more Dimensionals.

To finish the card, she tied a bow with the Tahitian Tide Baker’s Twine and attached it with a Glue Dot. Then, she added a few Pool Party Glossy Dots…so cool!
