Computers. Gotta love 'em. Gotta hate 'em, sometimes.
I'm having to dig deep into my proverbial stamping closet to find some projects to show you today. Why? Well, my computer is currently living in "Safe Mode" because it's not feeling well. Until it gets to feeling up to snuff, I have no access to my camera or scanner. I can't show you my latest projects! *weeps*
However, for the time being, rather than not blogging at all, I'm taking this chance to pull out some of my past projects to give you some ideas…
Here's one of the first workshop cards I did after officially becoming Too Cool Stamping last year. The Upsy Daisy set is one of my favorite flower stamps! The bold silhouettes are terrific for lots of fun techniques, like Poppin' Pastels, Emboss Resist, and Kissing. Another technique that works particularly well is to color the stamp with markers, and that's what I used for this card. Well, kinda.
The colors featured in the card are the soon-to-be returning old In Colors Baja Breeze and Pacific Point, plus the retired Kiwi Kiss. At the time, Stampin' Up! did not have markers available in these colors, so I had to use Blender Pens with ink pads to color the stamp. The exciting news is that very soon, we WILL have markers in these two returning colors! Finally! Woohoo!
Card Details: I colored the stems with Kiwi Kiss (Old Olive works instead) and flowers with Baja Breeze, then added Pacific Point the the petal tips of each flower. Huff on your stamp to re-moisten it, then stamp. It's a fun way to get a multicolored image from a bold-lined stamp.
Classic Stripes (retired) was used for the background. Cool Rhinestone Brads and Old Olive 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon for embellishments.
Did you know that there are vinyl Upsy Daisies Decor Elements that match this stamp set? If you like these pretty daisies, why not bring them into your living space to decorate your walls, photo frames, bookshelves, or even your laptop?
This 13×13" comes in eight colors, each for only $9.95.
