Using Project Life Cards To Create Cards!

Too Cool Happenings!

____________________________________________________________________

Hi Stamping Friends!

Project life wow logo 2 copyI have to admit that I've not made very good progress on my new Project Life pages…yet!  I do have some photos taken, which is a good start for me, but I haven't gotten over the hurdle of cropping them and getting them printed.  But, I will!

In the meantime, I've fallen back into my comfort zone of making cards…but this time, I tried using some of the Project Life pocket cards for some pretty patterned elements!  Does that count as doing Project Life?  LOL!

Everyday adventure 135298O1

I used the new Everyday Adventure Card Collection, but there are five different Card Collections to choose from, plus five coordinating Accessory Packs with fun little stickers and embellishments to match, and even digital versions that you can use with My Digital Studio!  Too Cool!

Bravo 135380G

Congratulations Cards: I used the new Bravo Photopolymer stamp set for all of the congratulatory greetings!   I adore all of the styles of fonts and large words in this fun set!

Project Life - hip hip hooray

Hip Hip Hooray—My first card features a black & white striped journal card for the background.  I wrapped the card in the Bermuda Bay triangle pattern washi tape from the Everyday Adventure Accessory Pack, then mounted it on a Pear Pizzazz layer.  I used the new Pear Pizzazz 1/4" Cotton Ribbon for a little tied texture around that element, too!

The Bravo photopolymer sentiment is stamped in Bermuda Bay and layered on Melon Mambo, then popped up with Dimensionals.  I finished off by embellishing with some Crushed Curry Triangle punches and Rhinestone Jewels.

Project Life - bermuda way to go

Way To Go—I love the colorful mosaic-shaped pattern on this card.  I trimmed it down to fit on my Bermuda Bay card base, stamped with Bermuda Bay Mosaic Madness images. Then, I gave it a Basic Black frame to make it really pop and wrapped it in 1/4" Pear Pizzazz Cotton Ribbon.

The Bravo photopolymer greeting was stamped in Bermuda Bay on Whisper White, mounted on Basic Black, and topped with Rhinestone Jewels.  These cards are coming together quickly!  Love it!

Project Life - happy for you

So Happy For You—I used the 4×6" black & white patterned card for the background on this Melon Mambo card base. It was a title card and it had a white band across it.  Before adhering to the base, I cut that band out and stamped on it in Bermuda Bay ink with the Bravo sentiment.

I die-cut a cute border in the Bermuda Bay layer with the Large Scallop Edgelits, and tucked that under the sentiment panel before popping up with Dimensionals.  It was a simple way to alter the look!

I finished off the card with some 1/4" Pear Pizzazz Cotton Ribbon, Rhinestone Jewels, and a pink star from the Accessory Pack.

Project Life - con grat you la tions

Con-Grat-YOU-La-Tions—I used another title card on this card, trimming the edges with Crushed Curry card stock that I punched with the Dotted Scallop Border Punch, and mounting it on a Whisper White card base.

This time, the white title band is going vertical, and a 1-1/4" Bermuda Bay Striped Grosgrain Ribbon banner fit perfectly inside for a contrasting accent!

I added a Bravo greeting, stamped in Melon Mambo, and mounted that layer on Basic Black card stock.  It's adorned with a single Rhinestone Jewel on a star from the Accessory Pack.

Project Life - congrats

Congrats—For the final card, I used a pretty striped pattern for bold color on a Basic Black card base.  A 1/4" strip of the retired Silver Glimmer along the edge gives it a sparkle.

Project Life - congrats 2

The sentiment is stamped in Bermuda Bay again, and accented with more Rhinestone Jewels in the corners.

What Do You Think?  I have to say it was not only fun, but quick & easy to put these cards together!  I had them created in less than an hour!  I would highly recommend trying it with some of your Project Life cards for an easy, matching set of cards!  If you do, email a photo of your project to me—I'd love to can see what you've created!
