Violet Dreams Happy Birthday To You Card

Simple layers and pretty die-cut blooms make this birthday card so sweet!

Background Basics

I started with a 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Basic White cardstock that I adhered to the front of a Gorgeous Grape card base. Next, I added a 4-3/4″ x 1-3/4″ piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock to the middle of the card front with SEAL Adhesive. The next layer was a 4″ x 3″ piece of the Violet Dreams Designers Series Paper. I finished the background with a 3/4″ x 3-3/4″ strip of Gorgeous Grape, with ends trimmed at a diagonal.

I tied some Fresh Freesia 1/4″ Satin Ribbon around the card front into a double-knot and trimming the ends into a faux bow.

Focal Point Oval

I die-cut a Basic White Framed Violets oval and added texture to it by stamping the Framed Violets dots image in stamped-off Fresh Freesia. I also stamped the Framed Violets sentiment in Gorgeous Grape ink on the right side, then popped it up with Dimensionals over the ribbon on the card front.

Focal Point Bouquet

I used the Framed Violets Dies to create a Peaceful Pine stem, as well as 3 sizes of Peaceful Pine leaves. I also die-cut 3 Highland Heather blooms. I attached the greenery with Multipurpose Liquid Glue, then popped up the flowers with Dimensionals. I topped each blossom with a Basic Rhinestone jewel for sparkle. So easy!
