Hi Stamping Friends!
I want to give a shout-out to everyone who participated in my 2017 In Color Club, as we are wrapping up the last groups of the club this month. I love designing for this annual club, which allows stampers to receive all of the brand new In Color products color-by-color, month-by-month, along with a coordinating card kit. I hope everyone involved has been enjoying the new colors!
Today, I'm sharing a little thank you card that I created for my club participants.

Watercolor Wings In Color Masked Cards
When I started collecting ideas for my In Color club thank you card, I knew I wanted to feature all of the 2017-2019 In Colors. So when I found a pretty butterfly masked card by Pat Tecza at Ramblin' Stamper, I knew I had found the perfect way to showcase all the colors on one card!
Masked Butterflies—One of the things I love about this card is that it only has one 4" x 5-1/4" Whisper White layer on the Lemon Lime Twist card base. The focus is all on the beautiful ink colors, highlighted with just a few sparkly accents. I stamped with one of the smaller butterfly images from the Watercolor Wings stamp set, using a mask to layer the different colors.
I created the mask by stamping an image onto Whisper White card stock, then I used my Paper Snips to trim away the top of the butterfly along the edge of the image, leaving no white edge. I started on the bottom left corner, stamping in Lemon Lime Twist, then I held the mask over the top of that image and stamped the next butterfly in Powder Pink so that the wings were slightly overlapping. My photo above shows what the mask looks like against a finished card.
I continued adding more butterflies in Fresh Fig, Berry Burst, Tranquil Tide and again in Lemon Lime Twist at the top right corner.
Finishing Touches—I finished up with a Watercolor Wings sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink at the top. I also added a few Glitter Enamel Dots floating around the butterflies. I LOVE those little dots! They only technically match the Berry Burst color, but the Old Olive dots have enough color variation that they actually coordinate very well with Lemon Lime Twist. Too Cool!
Inside The Card—I finished the Watercolor Wings sentiment from the front in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a 4" x 5-1/4" Whisper White insert. Then, I stamped a similar two-step butterfly from Garden in Bloom on the inside of the card in Berry Burst and stamped-off Berry Burst for the inside.
