Waterside Retreat Fishy Birthday Card

The Waterside Retreat Designer Series Paper is so awesome & versatile! Here I’ve used some leftover pieces to create a fun background and cut out a few coordinating images to accent the focal point. Fantastic for your fisherman friends & family!

Background Basics

I started by stamping the Relaxing Waterside large weeds image in Pool Party ink onto a 4-1/4″ x 2″ piece of Pool Party cardstock. (I completely forgot about this step in the video!). It’s adhered to a Gray Granite card base with SEAL Adhesive.

Next, I cut some Waterside Retreat DSP pieces: 1-1/2″ x 3″ and 1-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ in the fish pattern; 1-1/2″ x 1-1/4″ and 1-1/2″ x 1-3/4″ in the stripes pattern. I adhered them with SEAL onto a 3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″ piece of Mossy Meadow, then mounted them onto the card front with more SEAL.

Focal Point

I die-cut a Basic Beige Spotlight on Nature circle and added that with SEAL onto the card front for a focal point foundation.

Next, I die-cut the two-piece Relaxing Waterside chair in Pecan Pie cardstock, assembling the pieces with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I added it to the card front with more Liquid Glue.

Sweet Sentiment

I stamped the Relaxing Waterside sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink onto Basic White cardstock and hand-cut it with my Detailed Scissors. It’s popped up with Dimensionals right over the chair.

Finishing Touches

I hand-cut a couple of buoys from the Waterside Retreat DSP and popped them up under the sentiment. I also tied some Gray Granite Variegated Trim around the card front, tying it into a double-knot. I finished with a few white Moody Palette Glossy Dots around the focal point. So relaxing!
