White Textures With Touches of Metallics
Peggy Tassler and Jodi Geers both created cards that feature a beautiful white texture embossed background, a rich regal color and touches of marvelous metallics. It's a lovely look for holiday cards!
Background Basics—Peggy's card begins by stamping a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Very Vanilla with the swirly dotted image from Star of Light in Elegant Eggplant. Next, she embossed the background with the retired Lucky Stars embossing folder, but you could easily swap that out with the current Oh My Stars or Sparkle embossing folders for a coordinated look. She wrapped some Copper Metallic Thread around the bottom of the layer a few times before mounting it onto an Elegant Eggplant card base.
Star of Light—She die-cut the intricate Copper Foil star with the Starlight Thinlits, adhering it to an Elegant Eggplant star die-cut with Multipurpose Glue. It's popped up with Dimensionals. She added several smaller Elegant Eggplant & Copper Foil stars, also cut with the Starlight dies.
Sweet Sentiment—Peggy stamped the Star of Light sentiment in Elegant Eggplant onto a 2-3/4" x 3/4" strip of Very Vanilla, then banner cut the end and popped it up with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—All of the stars are topped with rhinestones, and she even added in a few extra Rhinestones and gold Metallic Enamel Shapes in the stardust! So sparkly!
Background Basics—Jodi's card begins with a 4" x 5-1/4" layer, too, this time in Whisper White. She die-cut the tree images with the Card Front Builder Thinlits, then embossed the background with the Softly Falling texture. Then, she adhered it to a Night of Navy card base. She added some Silver Glimmer Paper tree die-cuts over the top with Dimensionals. That snowy texture with the glistening trees instantly makes it look like a winter night!
Sweet Sentiment—Jodi stamped the sentiment from Hearts Come onto a 4" x 7/8" strip of Whisper White, then matted it onto a 4" x 1" strip of Silver Foil. Simple & stunning!
