Abracadabra—Stocking Becomes A Witch’s Boot

I love when I discover new, unconventional ways to use one of my Stampin' Up! tools.  Like using the Stocking Builder Punch to create cute little baby booties

Here's another fun idea I found using the Holiday Stocking Die  With just a little modification, you get…

Witch boot - full    Witch boot - front

…a witch's boot for Halloween!  Awesome!

I made two sides that surround a box from the #2 Box Die (with the top flaps cut off).  It's perfect as a Trick-or-Treat favor to hold all kinds of candy goodies!

Witch boot - lying down

Can you see how it's done?  (click to enlarge photo)  I cut out a 3-1/2" Circle Die, punched out a 1-3/4" Circle Punch chunk out of it, and attached it to the front for a nice and pointy toe.

I ran this part through the Big Shot with the Spider Web Impressions Folder for a spooky texture.

Then, I took the "toe" of the Holiday Stocking Die and made a boot heel from it.  I sponged over the entire side with Champagne Shimmer Mist

The cuff of the boot is trimmed with Lucky Limeade scallops from the Tasteful Trim Die with matching Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon.  The laces are also Ruffled Ribbon held in place with mini black brads.

The tag is stamped with a sentiment from Wicked Cool

Elf boot - BigShotHolidayStocking06

I saw this similar, and very cute, idea on Fran Sabad's StampersBlog—an Elf's Boot!  How fun is that?!  Love it!
