Beautiful Bold Lots of Heart Cards
As soon as I saw the large hearts in the Lots of Heart stamp set, I couldn't wait to play with it in some rich, bold colors paired with black. I love the big, scalloped heart die-cut made with the Many Hearts dies. They remind me of doilies that I used to layer onto my projects as a child. How do you think they turned out?
Background Basics—I started by adhering a 1-1/2" x 5-1/2" strip of black & white True Love Designer Series Paper along the folded edge of a Coastal Cabana card base. Next, I stamped the Lots of Heart sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a 3" x 4" piece of Basic White cardstock. That was layered onto a 3-1/8" x 4-1/8" piece of Bermuda Bay, then tied with the Coastal Cabana striped ribbon from the Playing With Patterns Ribbon Combo Pack. I mounted the focal point foundation to the card front with SEAL adhesive.
Bold Heart—I stamped the large Lots of Heart checked heart image in Bermuda Bay ink onto Basic White cardstock and die-cut it with the corresponding die. I layered it onto a Basic Black scalloped heart die-cut with SEAL adhesive. I finished by adding a single Matte Black Dot next to the heart.
Two Cool—My second version has a Magenta Madness card base with a different pattern from the True Love DSP. I stamped a different sentiment in Magenta Madness onto the white rectangle and layered that onto a Melon Mambo piece. It's tied with the Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon this time.
Bold Heart—I stamped the alternative large heart image from Lots of Heart in Magenta Madness ink and popped it up onto the scalloped hearts. I finished with a single Artistry Blooms Sequin.
