Year of Cheer Mixed Metallics Reindeer Cards
I can't get enough of the mixed metals look for Christmas! With the help of the gorgeous foil Year of Cheer Designer Paper, I think these cards are simply stunning! The photos do not do them justice!
Background Basics—I started by adhering a 2-1/2" x 5" piece of the copper foil pattern of Year of Cheer DSP to a 4" x 5-1/4" layer of Basic Black. Next, I added a strip of Year of Cheer metallic washi tape down the side of a 1-1/4" x 5" piece of Copper Foil. That cool kaleidoscope pattern of metallics on the washi tape really pulls the whole card together! I love it! The black layer is mounted onto a Whisper White card base.
Sentiment Circle—I stamped a greeting from Hearts Come Home in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a Whisper White circle die-cut with the Layering Circles Framelits. I added a 4" folded piece of Black Shimmer Satin Ribbon underneath the circle with SNAIL and trimmed the ends before popping up the layer with Dimensionals.
Shiny Reindeer—Of course the best part of this card is the classic reindeer shape, die-cut with the Santa's Sleigh Thinlits from Champagne Foil. I popped him up with more Dimensionals, then added a Copper Foil bow cut with the same dies. I finished up by adding some Black Rhinestone accents.
Two Cool—The second version, featuring another foil pattern from Year of Cheer DSP, is just as awesome! This time, I combined the gold plaid with the Champagne Foil for the background.
Golden Reindeer—I die-cut the reindeer with Gold Foil this time, adding a bow in Champagne Foil. So lovely! I'm not sure which one I love more! What do you think?
